The second time NO

Just open the door of the room was immediately felt in the strong smell of tobacco smoke that will not go away all the time. We were ordered two cabaret, the two situations are identical. I would not call a double bed, very uncomfortable bed frames. Staff good and friendly.

I was looking for cheap hotel not faraway from airport. And I got this!!!!!!!. Very good bed and shower- And it was what I need on this trip.

2 stars do not do it justice

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. Once in June 2011 when I was travelling on business on my own, and most recently now, August 2011 when I visited Latvia with my husband. We normally go for no less than 3 stars when it comes to booking a hotel, but because the first time round I needed to book something cost effective on the day of my travels, I decided to give it a go and I do not regret it. Mainly due to the fact that it is clean.I cannot explain it, but it is not only clean but also does not come with rooms smelling stale. The location is great if you are looking for something close to the airport. Nearby you will find big shopping centres, so good news for shopaholics. There's plenty of parking nearby and the staff are ok. Ok because just like everywhere else in Latvia, the service is "honest" - you will not get those fake smiles and "how are you,sir". it is straight-forward transaction and no hassle. I did not have breakfast in the hotel, but I did get a bottle of water from a fridge that they have near the reception, which is handy at 1 am in the morning. I would recommend this hotel anytime, and I do hope that they will not change or lower their standards anytime soon- the beds are comfortable, and it was good value for money.

was ok

this hotel is nothing fancy, but it does its job. If you land late, this is a quick solution - tha airport is very close, I paid LVL 7 for the taxi trip. I arrived, opened the door and the receptionist who was asleep on the couch jumped up in a second, ready to check me in and he was not even grumpy- where do they train them? :) I guess hotel instructions were written using Google Translate, basically it was very funny to read them. the room was ok, neat and clean and comfortable and well worth the money. Enjoy your stay.
