Location is excellent - 5 minutes drive near Makaha Beach (rougher waves, popular with locals), few more beach north of there or drive 5 minutes more south to Pokai Bay Beach Park is you prefer calmer and more quiet! Both felt safe, have spectacular views of Makaha Valley and feel more local than the hustle and bustle, touristy Waikiki. The drive into the Towers is jaw dropping!
