Very spacious condo with breathtaking views of the ocean! Building was extremely quiet and peaceful. Not too much nearby though. Might be a bit more lively in the on-season. But if you're looking for some tranquility, you can find it here.

The condo was excellently clean. If you have allergies to pet hair, be aware that although there were very few stay hairs, there were a small amount. The stairs were many, so be prepared for a workout. The condo has lots of extra kitchen stuff, which we appreciated. The sofa bed is not a hide-a-bed, and was very firm

The property was very clean and obviously well cared for. We were unimpressed with Rockaway beach- very limited shops and restaurants- overall a very sleepy town. The beach was beautiful but unfortunately for us was fogged in for our entire stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were large and newly renovated. Guests would really benefit from having a full length mirror somewhere in the unit. We were attending a wedding and I could only see myself from the shoulders up in the bathroom mirror. Most people I know like to check out their outfits before attending an event. The furniture in the living room was uncomfortable and the lack of any kind of curtains or shades made it very difficult to sit there in the late afternoon or evening. The kitchen was very well equipped and stocked with necessary supplies. One last thing- we would have really appreciated a few beach chairs! Overall a lovely place- but we won’t be returning to Rockaway.

Beautifully furnished and well stocked kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment. Nice and thirsty bath towels!! Cant beat the views and proximity to the beach. Will definitely be back.

This was a really hard review to do because the property was absolutely lovely, clean, with what an incredible location and view. We had two major issues however and two minor that put a bit damper on our trip. 1: When we booked this property is has listed that it had access to a hot tub, which was one of the main reason we rented the location. As we prepped for the trip and received information on the listing the hot tub was no longer on the description and when we arrived we found the hot tub, but it was completely torn apart for maintenance I suspect. I can not find any notice of this change and thus it seems rather deceptive. If we would have been notified in advance and offered a discount to make up for this loss we would be much happier. 2: We also got this property because it had a large bath tub. On our second night we went fill up the tub we realized there was no hot water to fill the tub. We checked everything we could think of and nothing worked. This was extremely disappointing especially after not having the hot tub. Minor #1: Although the property is super nice and designer, we found the couch and two single chairs very uncomfortable to sit in and watch the waves or TV. We brought out pillows and tried to improve on this but nothing much worked. This is not a deal breaker, but something much more comfortable would have really improved our stay. Last and also minor, The property was extremely clean but we found that the fitted sheet had a sizable stain.

Beautiful condo however the door code that was texted to us did not work. Thankfully maintenance came quickly and used a key to open the door. He left the key for us to use. He couldn’t even get the code to work. Otherwise the unit was lovely.

Home was dirty upon arrival and needs maintenance and attention prior to being booked by others! Has a great ocean view but windows are so filthy you cannot see through them as they do not clean finger prints and pet slobber. Breaker is going out so power goes in and out (we went a day without bathroom lights or power!). It has been days and I still have had no reply from the service team on how they plan to resolve any of our issues while we were there. Had to contact maintenance for help daily which resulted in many disruptions to our vacation! Including being called at 4am from their team after being ignored upon check in! We were very disappointed in our stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The condo is located steps from the beach, and a great view to watch the tide come in. The house itself was excellent - and quiet, even with nearby neighbors. The dishwasher was out of service, but everything else was in working order. There is a strip of grass/gravel to take your dog to do their business, unfortunately not everyone cleans up after their dog, so watch your step. Limited restaurant options, we brought own groceries and just had take out once. Overall a great, relaxing location. Will be back!

PROS: Spacious apartment Beautiful bathrooms Gorgeous views Comfortable beds Additional blankets CONS: Poor communication from Vacasa. Managed by Vacasa. I have had disappointing results with Vacasa before and didn’t realize until after I booked that it was with them. Dishwasher was broken. We should have been informed of that prior to arrival and been offered a partial refund. We are on vacation, for goodness sakes! Who wants to wash dishes when on vacation!! Cleanliness issues. There was a red dust film on some surfaces. Dishes in the cabinet were not clean. Hot pads were filthy. Garbage disposal stank! Sides of the table were crusty. Thermostat had a mind of its own. For whatever reason it decided to fluctuate from a low of 51 to a high of 77. When we returned from outings, we never knew whether it would be low or high. (Good thing there were extra blankets.) Would have been nice to have control of the thermostat. Detailed instructions on how to find the stairs. The stairs are behind the elevators. How easy was that to say? Nope, instead we had to wander around, at night, to find them. Oh, and each stairwell corresponds to the room number
would have been nice to have been given a heads up about that. Basic supplies. There was not even salt or pepper!! Again, it would have been nice to have been informed what supplies would be needed. For example: “Bring all the cooking supplies as nothing is supplied.” Easy peasy.

This place has a great location if you want to walk right out to the beach but the actual unit is filthy! Initially we loved the interior but once you start looking around, you realize it’s super junky and patched up to cover all the wear and tear they clearly don’t want to pay to repair properly. The living room area slider going out to a porch was unusable and even has a tacky sign telling you (in a nice way) that it’s on it’s last legs! Why don’t they replace the freakin window if it doesn’t work? The molding along the floors are splitting from rot but they have clearly repainted them over and over. The windows facing the beach were filthy (inside and out). They have little to no decorative pictures on the walls in the other rooms to make it feel somewhat homey. The elevator wasn’t working. The bedroom walls had this weird “touched up paint marks” all over the walls. The door knob on the master was put on all wonky. All the windows opened weirdly and the front living room window didn’t seal tightly so we could hear the wind whipping through. The beds and side tables in the bedrooms looked like the grabbed them from the dump. It’s like they just use this space to just rent out and put hodge podge crap in it to fill space. It has a very “a frat boy lives here” feeling. There is black mold under the master bath sink. I even tried to walk out onto the back master porch and only walked a couple steps before it felt like it was going to give out. Around the back master porch door (on the inside) had all this gross mold or just dirt caked all over it. I took a bunch of pictures but this sight clearly doesn’t want people to post pictures. Don’t do what we did and ignore the bad reviews. Even though they are older, they are still accurate which says a lot for how neglectful these people are with taking care of these old issues. I don’t know how there are so many positive reviews? Seems kinda sketch or these people have low standards. Just support local rental properties owners who value good customer service and do everything they can to provide a great rental experience.

The first problem was getting in the door. I finally tried putting a zero in front of code snd it worked. The elevator doesnt work. 4 flights of stairs is annoying when you are over 60. The glass windows kept popping open. The repairman had to be called. Guest bathroom had a leak that ran to soak the carpet outside the bathroom. Advertised hottub is not on the balcony but shared with other guests away ftom the condo. Beds and furniture are all low to the ground and difficult to get out of. Owners fees are tacked on to the advertised room price at check out. Not cool! The condo is beautiful and the view is stellor. Too bad it isnt comfortable.

It’s a very nice location, but the property needs attention. I noticed cigarette butts all over the ground surrounding the cigarette receptacle and the dog waste can was overflowing. There was also a big pile of dog poop in the undercover parking area. Inside the unit there were several notes regarding items that weren’t working properly. The note on the refrigerator asked not to use the water because it causes water to leak behind the refrigerator. The front balcony door note said it was basically on its last legs and be careful when opening. The toilet holder in the master bathroom was practically falling off and there was a note that said the owner was going to fix it and it should “hang in there”. The slider door in the master bedroom was taped closed and the note said do not open. The hinge was broken. I think this is a safety issue that really should be fixed. The coffee pot lid was broken and dirty. We couldn’t get the dishwasher to work so we left it open so the cleaners could run it. The hardware on the front door was loose so we just used the dead bolt. We decided to take a look at the reviews for this unit and were very surprised that the master bedroom slider door has been in this condition for over two years. There seems to be a pattern in the reviews about the same things not working and not getting fixed. It’s too bad because it really is a nice place that isn’t being taken care of.
