This is a great family home with plenty of space for all ages to enjoy together as a big group or small isolated spots to get some quiet time. We loved that the beach was so accessible and a hose on front deck to rinse off. The deck with hot tub was great- warm and clean. Plenty of extra blankets for windy evenings to enjoy the sunset from the deck. Kitchen was well stocked a d even had a big crab pot for steaming and a couple of crackers. Overall a great property and would stay again. Property has space for 3 cars.A few suggestions ewpwcially for ghe price and cleaning fees: Get a new toaster. Check the accuracy of the stove heating element-would not heat properly. Front deck was worn and saggy in some places and worried would give out. Carpets could use a good cleaning, very dirty in some bedrooms.

Misrepresented, Broken, and Unacceptable – Renters Beware

DO NOT RENT HERE. This property was a complete disappointment and a total misrepresentation of what was advertised.We booked this place specifically for the hot tub, which we confirmed was working just days before arrival. When we showed up, it was broken and we were told the owners themselves damaged it before leaving. That alone would’ve been bad enough—but it gets worse.- The fireplace doesn’t work- The bathtubs are clogged and gross.- The sliding doors are broken and barely usable- The property was in poor condition overall, with several things clearly neglected or just not functioning.We have video evidence of the issues—including some absolutely wild behavior from the owners—that we’re prepared to share if this isn't resolved appropriately. I’ve already reached out to VRBO and will continue to escalate until we get a full refund for this mess.This experience was unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone until major repairs are made and the listing is made honest.

Spring break

The house had perfect access to the beach. We were surprised at how nice the view of the ocean was from the living room and kitchen table, as well as a great view from the deck. 3 bedrooms with attached bathrooms was perfect, along with one other bedroom and bathroom allowed us to spread out. The beds were extremely comfy. We only had a few issues. The fireplace never worked during our stay. The management had people come out twice but no one could fix it. We also had asked management for lightbulbs that burned out upon our arrival and it took over 2 days to get replacements. The hot tub also needs a new cover- the first time we tried to use it the water was less than half full and the heater wasn’t working because of low water. We filled the tub up and got it working so we could enjoy it. The next time we went to use it though, the water level had gone down again so we had to fill it again and wait. We secured the cover as best as it would go each time, but the water kept evaporating out.

Pleasantly surprised!

You never know what you will get and we were pleasantly surprised at the size and layout. The rooms and beds were very nice. You can see the beach from the living room and the garage rooftop, so that was great! Also, the walk to the beach was short and easy for all ages. We were in need of more wash cloths and had to wait til Sat for someone to help us get the fireplace operating. I did get swift response to my inquires, although it did take until the next day to get these items squared away! We did appreciate the excellent communication. Overall, a wonderful place! Will try to rent again another time.

Wonderful house

This was a terrific house for our family gathering for a 90th birthday. Wonderful location to get to the beach and to drive to various sites on the coast. Amazing deck with a view of the ocean and sunsets.

Perfect multigenerational family reunion

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rockaway Beach home. There was plenty of space for our 11 family members, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to fix breakfasts and dinners. Having 4 full bathrooms was great We loved the hot tub, which was easy to operate and access. The view from the upper deck was fantastic….sunsets were spectacular. With just a short walk to the expansive beach, we were able to come and go all day long. If we needed drinks, buckets, towels etc. it was so easy to go back to the house and return We will definitely return. This place was the best.

Excellent home with amazing views and access to the beach!

We had a great weekend at this house and would have loved to have stay longer. We truly did not get to enjoy what this house to offer with such a short stay. We might have stayed longer if it wasn't so expensive, but it does offer a lot for the price including so many beds and bathrooms. It had everything you need in the kitchens and bathrooms and excellent access to television and entertainment. The access to the beach was superb! And the upper deck with the hot tub was such a nice place to take in the sights. We might consider it again if we can save up the money!

Awesome place

This home is well cared for and is acurately depicted in the photos. The kitchen was well stocked and had what we needed for family dinners. The home was clean. The ipper deck was glorious for the sunsets.

Serene & relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. It is so nice that there are three bedrooms on the main floor and three bathrooms! The two grandmas were so pleased! The location is amazing. Quite neighborhood so you can hear the waves from the house. Is there anything better? My husband and I with our 8 year old stayed in the master suite which was up the stairs offering us more privacy as well. The hot tub was great and the deck is a great view of the ocean. Steps away from the beach. Excellent stay. 😊

Great house and location!

The house was spacious and a very, very short walk to the beach! So close it was convenient when needing things from the house— it was a quick walk! A little warm in the summer but by remembering to close the blinds to the afternoon sun made it much cooler. We definitely recommend it!

Great house, poor experience

We had a fun time staying in this house. The close proximity to the beach access was wonderful! We enjoyed the roof top deck with gorgeous views of the ocean. There were a few problems with the house though. The day before we were scheduled to check in we were notified that the oven was not working and the soonest they could have someone out to repair it was two weeks after our stay. I asked for a discount due to this inconvenience and was told no there was nothing they could offer. We had to change our menu plans which was frustrating considering this was the day before we left and had already completed all of our shopping. I did ask for an air fryer or convection oven which they did bring to us. It appeared to be brand new but was missing a part. Again, frustrating. There were several locked rooms throughout the house including the garage. Typically we have access to the garage and there are various things to use at the beach and store our sandy items and bikes in. One afternoon while we were there the owner showed up unannounced to work on his boat in the garage. We have stayed in many beach houses over the years and have never experienced this before. He moved some of our bikes that were resting against the garage door mostly out of sight. One of our bikes was stolen that night and that was very maddening to wake up to. When the garage was open during the owner’s visit, we could see another stove/oven in there so this made us think the oven issue was not new and should have been taken care of. When I called the property management to tell them about the owner showing up and bike being stolen she was very saddened and apologetic. She also stated she would look into why the owner showed up and that she would be back in touch, but I never heard back from her. We made the best of our time there and do have some great memories, but we will not be using this company again.

Carpet needs cleaning. Other that that, we enjoyed the house. The kitchen was well equiped and spacious. Beach access was great. We had a marvelous time.
