Awesome

We were in town for a wedding. This house is amazing. Spacious, clean, comfortable, and cozy. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the back deck. Kitchen was well stocked. The hosts have thought of everything. Extra pillows, blankets, charging stations by the beds, tissues in every room. Everything you need for the beach is here - towels, a beach bag, cooler, beach chairs. This place even had a crock pot- something I have always wanted in a vacation rental and have never seen before. There was cereal for our first morning and snacks available. We did not need to buy anything toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, plastic bags, soap, etc were all in abundant supply. We had a question about the tv on arrival and the hosts responded very quickly. We would definitely stay again.

A beautiful place to retreat, restore, and relax

My husband's family has taken a summer vacation in Rockport nearly every year since the late 1950s. When "the boys" (my husband and his brother) were young, they would rent a house. Later, as the family grew, they/we stayed in hotels. Within the past five years or so, we've reverted to house rentals. Now that I am the family "matriarch," I plan our getaways. Our stay at The Nest was hands-down the best that I can remember. (I've been part of this tradition for more than 30 years.) The location, Pigeon Cove, is our favorite part of Rockport. (We spent many years at the Emerson when it was owned by the Weymusses and later, the Coateses.) The house itself is charming -- vintage New England, but brought entirely up-to-date with tech, HVAC, finishes, etc. Lisa and Wei seem to have thought of everything (appliances, dishware, cookware, spare blankets/towels) -- there's even a sweet "secret room" for little ones, stocked with toys, books, blankets -- everything a toddler might want. And talk about books! The selection of titles, on shelves throughout the house, is a book lover's dream. Thank you, Lisa and Wei. We hope to visit The Nest again next year.

We had a great time. The house was very clean and comfortable. Lisa had the house stocked with any essentials we would have needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Wow! My husband & I rented “The Nest” for 6 weeks in August & September and were so impressed at the amazing attention to detail the hosts have given to a stay in their beautiful farmhouse. They have thought of everything needed to enjoy a vacation in Cape Ann. The quality of the furnishings, the kitchen and all the high end cookware and appliances…all new! The neighborhood was so private and quiet we found ourselves whispering when on the deck. The beds are very comfortable and the baths are top notch. This was the best all around house we have rented and there have been many. You can’t go wrong at “The Nest"

Family retreat

We visited with our adult children and partners and this house was perfect for our needs. Both in terms of overall space including a great deck, as well as offering so many amenities. Fantastic experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as this wonderful place was everything we could have wished for and more! We marveled at the personal touches throughout the home. Better than Salem, hands down!

The whole point of our trip was to enjoy some Halloween shenanigans in Salem with our kids and their grandparents. We were unable to find accommodations there, and so we fell upon Rockport. What a pleasant surprise! We explored a number of charming coastal towns, steeped in history and beautiful architecture. Salem was only half an hour away and we explored it too! Lisa and Wei are amazing hosts. Their house had everything we needed and more and was absolutely spotless. We even cooked a steak dinner on their bbq! Perfect for families with kids. Truly not a single detail was spared. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Family trip to Rockport

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Rockport. The house was beautiful and in a great location. A quick drive to the Gloucester beaches as well as Bearskin Neck. We were on a family road trip from NC to MA and spent the second half of the trip in Rockport. The house had plenty of room for our family of 5 and had the most conveniences of any VRBO we have rented. It also had to a of toys, games and books for the kids. We also selected the house bc it had all of the things we needed for the beach (chairs, toys, cooler etc) so we didn’t have to lug them from NC. The owner was also very responsive questions and communicated all necessary information promptly. We will definitely be back!

Beyond every expectation

A week in this locale and in this house is not enough. We did all the usual things that we could fit in - from Halibut Point to Bearskin Neck to Ipswich and Newburyport. Watched turkeys and deer off the deck. The house itself emerged as our true destination. Of all the vacation homes in which we have stayed, this was the best furnished, best finished, spotless and well-appointed. There are countless outlets, data ports, and charging nodes in every room for every brand of device, overhead fans and lights as well as tabletop lights, windows everywhere, tall ceilings, spacious and airy beyond expectation. Well stocked for coffee & tea, snacks, dishwasher, laundry (including white vinegar - who would think of that?), bathroom shower and paper products, and literally every dish, pot, pan and kitchen appliance anyone could dream of. There is a children's reading nook and sitting room that we retirees admired. There are hundreds of books of every genre and bookcases in every room (we resorted to making lists). We covet the couches in the living room as the ultimate in comfort. The owners' attention to every detail in their house is evident in every room. Their household products demonstrate their concern for the environment. We suspect they also have a whimsical sense of fun - we dare every visitor to play the owners' "Under the Sea Bingo", a game requiring a search through the rooms of the house. The place is aptly named The Nest. We loved this home. Thank you Lisa & Wei!

Beautiful, it felt like home!

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Nest! The owner has a gift for hospitality. We arrived to an exceptionally clean and very comfortable house that felt like home. All the added touches and amenities made this vacation rental extraordinary. The owner was very communicative and pleasant. The house is a beautifully updated old New England farmhouse. It is very cozy and beautifully decorated. Every detail such as board games, books, breakfast food for the first morning, clean linens and towels, soft blankets and an extra toothbrush were so appreciated when we arrived. Spotting wild turkeys in the backyard was a bonus! The owner has a friendly manual with recommendations for tourists to find places to see, eat, and visit with directions. The house has a spacious layout with an upstairs tv room which my autistic young adult son appreciated. Every evening during our vacation we looked forward to returning to relax. Although we didn’t need accommodations for small children, we loved the little play nook upstairs and noticed plenty of baby/toddler amenities for those with children. By far, this vacation rental was the cleanest and nicest place we have ever stayed in. We hope to return again!

Wonderful home base for family vacation

Excellent property for three generation family vacation! Great beds. Many lovely games and puzzles and books. Special extras for young children - books and toys and special kitchen items. Very responsive hosts. Easy access to Rockport, and the North Shore. Highly recommend!
