I booked this hotel through Hotels.com, and it ended up being a Sonder (Sonder branding was everywhere, even in the elevator). I was surprised and excited because Sonder properties are usually super nice, but this one had none of the perks.
I asked the receptionist if it was a Sonder and she said, “What? No. I don’t know what a Sonder is.”
The WiFi was nowhere posted or offered even though the booking description said free WiFi. The WiFi username was literally “sonder”, but it didn’t work. When I told the receptionist it was showing “no internet connection,” she couldn’t care less and her solution was just to show me the login from her phone again. I had to ask a couple times and she kept saying “yeah yeah I’ll let you know,” but she never followed up.
The elevator was broken.
We booked for 3 people with 2 beds, listed as queen and twin, but it was a queen and a chair that extended into a bed, not an actual bed, which they could have clearly stated.
There was no hand soap. We told the receptionist and she just stared at us. I asked if we could get some and she forced out “I’ll let someone know.” We stayed two nights and never got hand soap.
The bathroom was cold while the room got extremely warm. The shower didn’t look like it was cleaned. Other than check-in, we never saw anyone at reception even though the hotel details said someone would be there from 8am–4:30am. There were no check-out instructions so we just left the key on the desk.
Would not book again.
