« We stayed at Buttercup Cottage for four nights. It is located 5 mins drive from Rye town centre in a quiet, private location with allocated parking. The studio is spacious and the facilities are excellent for self-catering. We also ate twice at Layla's, a turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended. The town gets busy in the holiday season so you may need to book. The cottage also has a very helpful guide for visitors with lots of tips and advice to improve your stay. The shower extractor...

« The Hayloft was absolutely gorgeous with everything to the highest standard. Superb property with everything you could wish for and a lovely host. Beautiful location and views. Not sure where else you could relax in the hot tub as the sun sets while watching a crane fish in the small lake. Weather was unfortunately wet and windy a lot of our stay so didn't get to make use of the balcony. « Ignore the rubbish from cottages.com as they obviously do not have a clue. The front door facing North road is locked and bolted and so cannot be used to enter the property. Only by going down the steps and using the back door can you get in. The flat bronze yale style key next to the silver long key is the one you need. As the yale lock is loose you need to jiggle the key in the lock to even turn it. Watch out if your tall ... im 6' and had some close calls in the cottage. Do not attempt to use...

« Lovely stay at the stables. They have been converted to a high standard and were very comfortable for our family with two small children. It was great that there was a stair gate in the top bedroom as there isn’t a door. Had a nice meal at the local pub and in easy reach by car of local visiting sites. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and let us wander around their lovely garden. Would recommend. »

« We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties.
