    Whether you're visiting the North Georgia mountains for a wedding, winery tours, one of our many festivals like Oktoberfest, admiring the fall leaves, a college graduation, a family vacation, or in hopes of striking it rich while panning for gold, we're certain that our home will be a place of rest and relaxation during your stay.

    Visit the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia nestled in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the quaint little German town it is today.

    Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest celebrations!

    Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are countless hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip.

    Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more!

    Our mountain cabin was built in 1997. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a kitchen and dining area. Nearly 1000 sq. ft. of wrap around screened in porches to take in the fresh mountain air and sounds of running water. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, slip into the hot tub with a glass of wine or make s'mores by the camp fire out back.

    There is a smart doorbell installed by the front door with audio and video recording capabilities for security purposes.

While we were just two couples on this trip, we can see that this would be a great place for families with little kids/grandkids! There were lots of toys and games available! The wraparound porch was very secure for little ones too! Our favorite space was the seating by the babbling brook out back!

Everything was great. Loved loved loved the house. It was very clean. The host is very helpful. It was very safe for our two children age 6 and 9, one who is autistic. Lots of things to do to keep them entertained. Loved the creek as well. I could go on and on. I’m very lucky to have been able to rent from them. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Everything here was top notch. Hot tub and extra amenities were clean and well maintained. The rooms and house itself had plenty of great stuff for our group of adults and also made us all want to come back with our families because of how well equipped it was for kids too. Between the porch, fire pit, hot tub and amazing creek seating area we had so much to do outside that we spent almost none inside.

This booking was excellent for us for our visit to Helen for a VW car show. The property itself was cozy and well appointed. The wrap around enclosed porch was such a bonus with our young children, not to mention all of the toys and activities for children in the house. There were other kid safety gates and thoughts put into the property as well. Food options, activities, local history, pertinent house information, check details and more were all very readily available in the binder provided by the host(s). Another bonus was the water pressure was very good. All in all, would love to stay again. Very clean, comfortable, and well priced compared to other similar options during my stay.

What an amazing place! This super clean and cozy cabin is nestled in such a peaceful location. We are actually from the area but rented for myself, and daughters for the youngest one's wedding nearby. Could have lived on the screened on wrap around porch with multiple lounging areas. Between the wedding and the rain we unfortunately never got to enjoy the hot tub or the serene creek area complete with swing. And if I were a dog, this is the place to stay! The owners have pet related items on porch complete with fluffy dog bed! THE place for a small family with a dog! Owner was so friendly, responsive and flexible. Definitely what other VRBO owners could stand to aspire to.

We had an amazing time with our 2 pups. Mitch and Monyah were the perfect hosts in accommodations, responded to our questions in a timely manner, provided everything one could imagine away from home. The cabin and property were well maintained, clean and secure. We thoroughly loved the hot tub and creek! We will be sharing our experience with family and friends!
