Had an amazing family gathering! The house is really large, and accommodated us well. The layout makes the house feel a bit of a maze, and there is only one en-suite, but we found everything we needed! Two small issues- the top bunks in the 2-bunk room didn’t have railings so our kids were afraid to sleep up there, and the septic system caused some problem, but had great response from the owners and the maintaince personnel came out quickly.

Our Family really enjoyed the house, location, and especially the pool. More than enough room for everyone to have a space and relax. Loved the large dining tables, these enabled our group to eat together at one time.Management team responded quickly to all our concerns and issues.

Misrepresented

After scouring vacation rental listings, my family of 17 decided on this property based on the pictures and reviews. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the condition of the property did not match the listing photos and description. The property had been seriously neglected in almost every area. We had to contact the management company to come back out and clean/ replace the dirty bedding and begin replacing rotten boards on decking and screwing loose boards in the stairs. The landscaping is unkempt, the kitchen cupboards are missing doors or hinges, the dishwasher was not screwed in and tilts when you put dishes in it, the carpets and upholstery were stained and torn. The movie theater was torn up and dirty and no one wanted to go near it. The upstairs ac is not able to keep up with hot weather. There is no dustpan and the vacuum they had was filthy and smelly so we had a difficult time trying to clean. There was mouse droppings on the stairs inside and something dead under the house. The side yard has water leaking into it and lots of mud. The sinks and toilets were clean but the showers were missing tiles and had water damage around them. Management was responsive and negotiated the price to something more appropriate to the condition of the house. Despite everything, we enjoyed the location and the fire pit and still had a good vacation.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time visiting the Shenandoah area while staying with extended family. We all had plenty of room both inside and outside and the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms allowed for comfortably while being away from home. The kids spent all of their time in the pool, while the adults had a great space in the outside area to enjoy late evenings.

Family Holiday Getaway

Our extended family stayed at Paddlers Paradise for our Christmas get-together. We loved the house and had plenty of room for all 14 of us, with extra rooms to spare! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Family Vacation

Had a great time!

6 families with total of 7 kids (ages11-14) and 8 adults. The house is nice and big, the pool was great, and lots of room for kids to run around. The owner was very responsive before the trip and during. Overall we had a great time. Future renters might want to know that the lower level is the basement. Redone and decorated (with great a/c) but no windows in most rooms.

Perfect outdoor area with fishing!

It was absolutely perfect for the 13 of us. The layout of the house was great. Everything was clean and well maintained. The outdoor space was amazing! It was such a peaceful place. We enjoyed our coffee on the front porch, swimming in the heated pool, grilling out, & sitting at the fire pit roasting marshmallows. But the highlight was definitely that river in the backyard! Not only was the view breathtaking, but the fishing hooked everyone. We found ourselves down there multiple times a day. The pool table, movie room and card tables were added bonuses. This is where you want to stay to reconnect with your family. We all stayed so busy interacting with each other that we were barely even on our phones. We would definitely stay here again!

Great for Family

Everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The pool table was a hit and because it was in a separate building it didn't disturb the "older ones". The beds were very comfortable. The house needs some gutter repair.

Perfect house

Enough room, no one felt crowded. Pool was fantastic, got to play in the river too. Loved the entertainment area, big garage door so everyone was included. Enough firewood for the the entertainment area and fire pit out back. We wish we could stay there again

March Church retreat

This property was wonderful for our group of 13. Plenty of room for everyone. The guy's in our group really enjoyed the game room, movie theater and the fishing. Brian & Sara were very easy to work with. Even when I was having issues finalizing the rental they were very patient with me an worked with me through the issue. I would definitely rent this property again in the future. if you have a large group I recommend this property.

Loved it!

We had such a lovely time here! My family gets together for an annual Thanksgiving/Christmas weekend since it’s so hard to get together during the actual holidays with kids and not living super close to each other. This was perfect for our large family, 5 individual families with kids ranging from 2-16 at the time. The setting is lovely, right on the river, and the kids were obsessed with the movie room and pool table. Everything was clean and inviting, and we just had the best time being together! The hosts were also amazing, answering some questions I had before we left with extreme promptness and courtesy, and it definitely felt as if I could reach out if we needed anything at all. Highly recommend!

Great for a Group

It was about 14 of us and we had a great time. The owners were very responsive. The Internet in the Theater area was a little lagging for our viewing of the SUPERBOWL, but we used our own hotspot! Problem solved!! We definitely plan to return!

Spacious House and Property

We enjoyed our stay over New Years with a group of friends kids aged 3-16. There is something for everyone to do on the property, even during the winter. The house is spacious and we had plenty of room to spread out, and the bedrooms/bathrooms were all nicely done and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the adequate seating for everyone for meals between the two seating areas. The location is secluded, and the river was scenic. Neighbors were nice and adjoining properties were well kept.

Great Family Vacation

Each year we choose a place for our family of three generations to vacation together.This house and riverfront property certainly met our expectations. The eight kids who ranged in age from 7 to 15 all had a wonderful time from swimming in the pool, to watching a movie in the movie theater room, to playing by and in the river. The house was well equipped and it was easy to communicate with the house management.
