The Dome House was a great house for our 3 generations. There was enough space to be with everyone and space you could have quiet time if you wished. The location was good. I hope we get to visit again.

Perfect for large gatherings with very cool conversation and game spaces. Has everything you need. Great mattresses. Awesome views from the house. Upper Flume is 75 yards away at the most and basically flat. Effectively ski in/out. Nice to have access to green/blue/black ski runs. Want even better views? Trek out on the cheat mountain ridge trail just 4 miles to the fire lookout- epic! Radiant heat in bedrooms with thermostat in hallway means you may need to have doors open at night or it can get pretty toasty- some folks may want that! Driveway is plowed and sufficient parking for about 6 cars- maybe could do 7 or 8 but that would be parking everyone in. Didn’t get around to using the hot tub.

We had a great stay at The Dome House! The location was fantastic! We walked into the village multiple times during our stay. The best perk is you can walk directly across the street and be on the ski slopes! Our family of 7 adults and 3 children were very comfortable there with even more space available! The kids loved the game room and hot tub! This is a great choice for a visit to Snowshoe with family or friends.

This is a perfect place to stay with a multi-generational family- ample space, lots to do in the house and around the area, and comfortable accommodations. The host is very proactive in communicating and made the check in and check out processes easy. Our family especially loved the outdoor space with the hot tub and fire pit and the big game room.

The host, Harman, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Check-in and check-out were a breeze; by far the easiest of any rental we have stayed at. Unique, beautiful and fun

We came for a family vacation. There were 10 of us and we fit comfortably and there was room for more! This home is very unique. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. There were multiple tv's and the game room was lots of fun! We had the misfortune of rain our entire time there! Fortunately, when we were stuck in the house, there was plenty to do. Many shops and some restaurants in the village were closed during the week. There are things to do in the surrounding areas as well. The host was so very helpful and wonderful to deal with! He checked in, via vrbo message and asked if we needed anything several times. We had some suggestions for improvements and he was so very receptive. Class A host and property! Thank you for sharing this with us!

Staying at The Dome Home

Our family loved staying at the Dome Home. Its unique architectural design and spacious living areas are cozy and comfortable, plenty of gathering room for a family of eleven. The house sits back in the woods with a very private feel, but it is also conveniently located with easy access to the slopes. The large windows provide amazing views as does the hot tub which sits on the deck overlooking the woods. The numerous bedrooms and bathrooms offer private spaces for all family members with an additional living area in the basement. We all enjoyed the recreation room with arcade games, ping pong, and others. The host was especially attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We are very grateful for the wonderful memories we made in the Dome Home.

Winter Wonderland

We had a great stay at the Dome Home. This house is perfect for multiple families with children of different ages. The property manager is extremely responsive. We had a few issues with the house being ready for check-in, but Harmon addressed them immediately as well as one or two other supply issues we had over the few days. His focus on customer service is unparalleled.The hot tub is such a great touch, it snowed like crazy while we were there, and it was wonderful to be able to sit in the hot tub at the end of the day and watch the sunset in the snow. The house is a fantastic location, you just walk right across the street to logger’s run. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. Overall, it was a fabulous trip and we will definitely be back to the Dome Home!

Family Fun

Our multi-generational family enjoyed our time at the Dome Home. It has everything we needed as well as plenty of space to spread out. It’s convenient to the Village area and surrounding activities. We enjoyed a relaxed weekend of family fun during the summertime at Snowshoe and then had fun with smores and the hot tub on the evening. The setting in the backyard and deck area is beautiful. You could forget how close you are to the main area at the resort.

Awesome home!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dome Home! The house is stunning and so spacious. Harman was extremely informative and communicative. The town was a quick 2 minute drive or you could walk if you want. I 10/10 recommend this property for anyone considering. One of the best Vrbo rentals I’ve ever had!

Private yet convenient!

This house is somehow right across from the slopes yet feels totally private. It really could not be a better location! The back yard has a fire pit and hot tub overlooking a pretty forest, while the front sits just far enough from the road to feel tucked away but has ample parking with quick access to the main road. The living room area boasts one of the largest sofas and TVs I’ve ever seen, so our group of eight was able to hang out, watch movies when it rained, or play music from the tv apps during cocktail hour. The owner could not have been nicer and answered any question I had right away. There are plenty of smaller rooms with seating so everyone could steal away if they wanted to make a private phone call or do some work. We didn’t have kids with us but if we did, they would have had a great time on the lower level which has a king suite plus a room with four twins and a mini living room with a kitchen. All in all, a great VRBO!

Great ski getaway at the Dome Home!

We (6 adults and 7 kids, ages 4-9) greatly enjoyed our stay at the dome home. The house is great and super convenient to the slopes. We enjoyed spending time in the hottub, kids explored the surrounding woods, skiing the slopes and hanging out together playing games at night. Highly recommend this home for families!

Idyllic Mountain House + Great Host

We rented this house for a family ski trip over four nights the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The house was perfect for our needs as it was well appointed and had everything we needed during our stay. The house has spacious and has three floors of living space (including a basement that has two bedrooms and another kitchen) - which was ideal for our group of seven people and three dogs. Everything at the property in terms of amenities worked perfectly although we didn’t get a chance to try out the outdoor sauna. The property surrounding the house gave you a secluded feel while still being close to the slopes and shops. Proximity to the slopes was important to us and the house was just a short walk across the street to hop on the Upper Flume run. The walk was short enough where my kids (7 & 10) didn’t complain about having to carry their ski equipment from the house to the slopes - which means it was a very easy walk. Lastly, the responsiveness and general communication with the host (Harman) both before and during our stay was second to none. He provided a great level of detail on the property and Snowshoe prior to our trip, then was very attentive to quickly answer any questions we had about the property during our stay. Our family really enjoyed our time at The Dome Home and would highly recommend this property and host. Our stay could not have went better.

Winter Vacation at the Dome Home

This place was amazing! It is just like the pictures and more! My husband and I brought our son and all of his college buddies to the dome for Christmas break! They had the best time and we had plenty of space for the 13 of us! Great location and just a short walk to the lodge and ski lifts. It happened to snow 10 inches plus while we were there so made the place and the woods beautiful! Thanks for all your hospitality and would love to make this an annual trip!

Memorable Autumn Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway at the Dome Home. It’s a beautiful setting with amazing sunset views, comfortable beds, and moss-filled woods all around, which we enjoyed exploring. We also enjoyed time in the hot tub and around the fire pit. And right behind the house is a wonderful road to walk or run on with an amazing view of the valley to the west. Harman and the cleaning crew were very responsive to the few requests we had. Our family of 15, including 6 children, enjoyed the space and the games, including giant Jenga and Connect Four as well as corn hole, all of which we set up out front one sunny afternoon. We were there during the two week period between the summer season and winter season at Snowshoe Mountain. While this meant that the restaurants were closed, it felt like we had the mountain to ourselves. The dining area was a bit tight for 15, but should work well for 12 or fewer people. Loved our stay!
