Tucked into the forest on approximately 2.5 acres in Christmas Valley, Reindeer A-Frame Cabin offers a unique mountain getaway with plenty of space to relax and explore. This charming A-frame combines classic cabin character with comfortable amenities, including a gas fireplace, hot tub, standalone sauna, and private outdoor spaces.

Living Area
Step inside through the front sliding door and you'll find a welcoming living area with a cozy couch, television with Roku, and a switch-operated gas fireplace. It's a comfortable place to settle in after a day exploring the mountains or enjoying the nearby ski resorts.
The dining area is adjacent to the living room and kitchen, creating an inviting space for meals and time together. Fast Wi-Fi is also available throughout the home.

Kitchen & Dining
The well-equipped kitchen features retro-style appliances and everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. The dining table offers space for everyone to gather and enjoy a meal together.

Bedrooms & Bathroom
The home features two bedrooms and an open loft across two levels, along with one full bathroom.
Bedroom 1 – Main Level: Queen bed with access to the back deck
Loft – Upstairs: Twin bed
Bedroom 2 – Upstairs: Queen bed and twin-over-twin bunk bed, with access to a private balcony. The bunk bed is best suited for children.
Bathroom – Main Level: Full bathroom with a shower stall

Outdoor Living
Enjoy the privacy of the surrounding acreage from either the front or back deck. The front porch features a propane BBQ, picnic table, and shade umbrella during the appropriate season.
After a day of outdoor adventures, relax in the private hot tub and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting. A standalone sauna offers another way to unwind, while the surrounding property provides plenty of room to explore.
The home also has a fenced dog-run area for guests traveling with their four-legged family members.

Laundry & Additional Amenities
A stacked washer and dryer are conveniently located on the main level. Additional amenities include Roku television, fast Wi-Fi, a gas fireplace, hot tub, sauna, and seasonal outdoor furnishings.

Important Information Before Booking

Bear-Proof Trash Bin: The bear-proof trash bin is located next to the driveway. Please use this bin for all trash and make sure the lid is securely closed after each use. Bears are a natural part of life in Tahoe and can be attracted to unsecured garbage. Properly securing your trash helps protect both you and our local wildlife.

Winter Travel: When visiting Tahoe in winter, be prepared for mountain driving conditions, possible road closures, and delays in snow removal. You’re booking a mountain getaway, so come prepared for changing weather and road conditions. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows. This street is not a primary plow road, so clearing may take longer. Four-wheel drive and/or chains are always recommended, and smaller, low-profile vehicles may have difficulty navigating snowy conditions.

Power Outages: Tahoe can experience power outages during snow, rain, and wind events. Lanterns are provided for your convenience, although availability may vary.

Air Conditioning: Like many homes in Tahoe, this home does not have central air conditioning. However, a portable A/C unit is provided in the upstairs loft for added comfort during warmer days. Our mountain climate typically offers cooler temperatures in the evenings, so we also recommend opening the windows to let in the cool mountain air and create a cross-breeze throughout the home. Just remember to close them again when you head out!

Quiet Hours: 10:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m. Please respect quiet hours and remember that this home is located in a residential neighborhood with full-time residents nearby. Parties and disturbances of any kind are not permitted.

Hot Tub Use: In accordance with El Dorado County regulations, hot tub use is prohibited between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Please plan your relaxing soaks accordingly!

Maximum Occupancy: 6 guests. Children ages five and younger are not counted toward the occupancy limit. Occupancy limits are enforced at all times.

Parking: Maximum of 3 vehicles, with additional room for a boat trailer. The driveway is moderately steep.

Rental Agreement: El Dorado County vacation rental regulations require a signed rental agreement prior to check-in. The Guest of Record must sign the agreement and keep a copy with them during their stay.

Guest of Record – 25 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER: The person making the reservation and signing the rental agreement must be at least 25 years old, must be staying at the property for the duration of the reservation, and is responsible for ensuring all rental rules and occupancy requirements are followed.

Guests have private access to the entire home for the duration of their stay, including the home's designated outdoor spaces and amenities. This is a private residence, not a shared accommodation.

The area offers a wonderful mix of outdoor recreation, with nearby hiking and mountain biking trails, winter opportunities for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, and easy access to the beautiful scenery and fly-fishing spots of Hope Valley. Whether you're looking to explore the surrounding mountains, enjoy the outdoors, or simply unwind in a quieter part of South Lake Tahoe, Christmas Valley is a lovely place to experience Tahoe in every season.

Getting Around:
For skiing and snowboarding, Heavenly Ski Resort is approximately 20 minutes away, Sierra-at-Tahoe is approximately 15 minutes away, and Kirkwood is approximately 30 minutes away.

The beaches along Highway 89 are approximately 20 minutes away, including Pope Beach, Camp Richardson, and Baldwin Beach. This area also offers scenic walking trails, the Tallac Historic Site, and many other favorite Tahoe destinations.

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy several nearby courses, including Lake Tahoe Golf Course, Tahoe Paradise Golf Course, Bijou Municipal Golf Course, and the scenic Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline.

Looking for nightlife? The Stateline casinos, including the area's gaming, entertainment, and nightlife options, are approximately 20 minutes away by car. Uber and Lyft are also available in South Lake Tahoe, offering convenient transportation around town and to popular destinations.

Pet-Friendly Home: Pets are welcome with prior approval! Please keep pets off all furniture, clean up after them both inside and outside the property, and keep dogs leashed when walking through the neighborhood. Please be respectful of the home, yard, and surrounding property during your stay.
