« The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The iron did not get hot and the shower did not drain. There was one luggage rack in the room with 2 queens beds. There were 3 of us in the room. Need to address these short comings. The staff was friendly. »

« Only stayed for one night but the room was very clean and quiet, the staff was friendly and we had a late dinner at the bar and it was delicious. Highly recommend the salmon with orzo. Only thing I didnt like were the pillows. Very flimsy. Would recommend staying there. »

« Great experience. Historic like hotel. Will book again. Clean room and bathroom was renovated. Friendly staff. Helped me to bring my bag up stairs. I had dinner at the restaurant with live music. Delicious food and a taste of American culture through the locals and their music. Lovely evening! The ride from Longwood Gardens to the hotel is gorgeous and takes about half hour. »

« Room had a bit of a smell. Like covering smoke or pet odors. Door was very stuck and lock mechanism worked most of the time. Breakfast only had 1 attendant and could not keep up. Very little food was out. Will not stay here again. Not terrible, but not up to par. »

« The Bookhouse is a wonderful concept! Prioritizing books, making them accessible everywhere, is delightful. There were adventurous and playful touches, including the secret hide-away on the first floor, behind a bookcase. Housing a hotel in a very old house is another terrific choice. The restoration process is clearly in progress; it's understandable that it's a long-term project. Drawbacks were largely fixable.
