We're already planning to return! Phenomenal house and ammenities

It's hard to please everyone in our group but 'on the half shell' was an overall hit for the whole family. The house was sparkling clean, decor was updated, and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us. The only hiccup is that they do not allow early check in, despite the house being ready hours before our arrival. Be sure to plan accordingly (no cold food in car, have meds accessible, etc.). Otherwise, it was glorious!

Family Vacation 2025

This was our first time coming to St. George Island, 6 adults and 3 kids. On the Half Shell was the perfect vacation home for us. We enjoyed the large covered porch over locking the gulf, large open lving space inside, and 4 bedrooms and bathrooms. The layout and condition of the home made our time spent indoors very comfortable. The management company and owners were quick to respond to our needs and very accomodating. We can't wait to go back and will definitely been staying here again.

Memorable Vacation

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. This beach house is wonderful for a large family. Lovely, well equipped, and spacious. The pool area is beautiful, and the pool heater worked great. The area under the house is spacious and clean as well. Wonderful for games and riding bikes.

Clean and spacious with easy beach access!

This property was absolutely amazing, I cannot recommend it enough!! My family and I have been visiting St. George Island annually for many years now, and this home has been one of my favorites by far! Our group ended up having 10 females (+1 pup), and the home was spacious enough for all of us to live for a week without feeling cramped. The large kitchen island and dining tables were a phenomenal touch as we cooked 95% of our meals on this trip. The pool was a big hit with everyone and we split most of our time between there and the beach! Plus the outdoor seating options (deck and poolside) were well shaded and spacious! The carport below the house was an amazing use of space as well as it comfortably fit 3 large SUVS, 2 large golf carts, several beach wagons, and lots of beach gear! I do wish there were some amber or sea turtle friendly lights installed in the outdoor areas as it was a little difficult to navigate the stairs without turning on the bright flood lights at night, but this is just a suggestion and definitely wouldn’t stop me from staying here again!! We are all so grateful for the hosts hospitality and we hope to book this property again in the future! Cheers!

Just beachy

This house is clean, beautifully decorated and the property manager made everything clear and easy from check in to check out. The house feels warm and the beach views, especially the sunrises, are wonderful. We had everything we needed and more! The kids always had something to do, either playing at the beach just across the street or playing in the pool. Even on rainy days, there was a tv in each room for entertainment. We would not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful beach vacation.

Family Friendly

This was our first trip to SGI, and this house was fantastic and met our needs perfectly! We had 3 families in the house with 5 kids under the age of 8, with 2 under 18 months of age. This is was perfect for the toddlers, with no steps inside to worry about, the pool fenced off to keep the kids in or out, and the front balcony had the stairs gated off so we could have less worries with the little ones outside. The parking area under the house was great for playing corn hole and had plenty of seating for everybody to gather around. The house itself was clean, well stocked, they provided nice, big, thick beach towel, kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, even a pack n’ play was in the kid’s closet and high chair in the kitchen, dishwasher and laundry detergent was also provided. The open floor plan is great so everybody can be together with plenty of seating. Beds were all comfortable with plenty of pillows and linens provided. The beach access is across the street and 1 house down, making it convenient and easy to go back and forth between the house, pool, and beach. We have no complaints and we will definitely be back! At the end of the week we found ourselves saying “Just One More Day” so the house is appropriately named.

Amazing

Renting was easy just booked online and all payments was made online. Stayed from Saturday to Saturday had a amazing week. From the moment walked in the door the clean smell was soooo very inviting. Plenty of room for my family, love the layout. Large kitchen and living area made for some wonderful memories being made with our granddaughter. The view of the ocean is wonderful with just a short walk to the beach. Spent lots of time on the large front deck. Enjoyed the small but lovely pool. And at night each could go to their bedroom and have lots of privacy. We have stayed in several beach houses and never untill this time found "the one". Loved the fact that no need to bring beach towels, beach chairs...nothing. will definitely be coming back to this house when we visit the island next time...hopefully in 2020!!!! Family Beach Trip

House was amazing from the beautiful location to the luxurious beach towels provided. Easy access to the beach, shaded pool area, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable outside sitting area, comfortable beds, and lots of space for everyone to chill. Only drawback is that you cannot access the house without being exposed to the weather because the overhang of the house doesn't cover the steps. No big deal except when we first arrived and were unloading after a nice rain shower.

Great time with three generations. Spacious and awesome view of gulf.

Home was well equipped and while we had a few glitches on arrival, they were quicky resolved. Plenty of room to spread out and come together for meals. The only downside we encountered was cold water temp in pool.

NO REGRETS

We stayed for four weeks in January- February, 2019. All aspects of the property are absolutely great. View of the ocean, access to beach, cleanliness, pool, room size, appliances, etc. The owner of this property did it right.
