The good:Unbelievable location. There's a beautiful arch right next to the property that is a simple walk to explore, and easily within sight. The bad:A lot. The cabin is drafty, especially in the kitchen where you can actually see daylight underneath the sink. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable, leading me to sleep on the couch both nights, where I discovered that the blankets for the couches were thin and not big enough for a grown person. The kitchen was also sparse; no salt/pepper, 3 mugs, 4 plates, 1 bowl, 1 roll of cheap paper towels, and an odd assortment of cooking utensils. The oven displayed an error code (F30) when we tried to use it.l, which led to us having to completely abandon a pre-made casserole for one of the dinners. The hot tub would be a positive and we did have a nice night in it, but when we tried to use it the next morning we felt a slight electric current in the water and decided the risk wasn't worth it. The towels for the bathroom are also probably the bare minimum in size and thickness before they would be called hand towels. Bring extra TP, only 3 budget rolls for 2 nights.Make sure you are very confident in your car. It is a very steep climb over dirt roads to get up to this cabin. All in all we had a great trip, but it was in spite of the bare minimum amenities, and a testament to the beauty of red river gorge and the friends we shared it with. I would not return here, nor would I consider any other cabin from this company.
