I was disappointed that the shower in the main bedroom didn’t drain. When I contacted the office, they said they would contact the owner but I never heard back. It was really unfortunate to not be able to use the shower. Also, my son who goes to school in steamboat wasn’t able to stay with us because he said the bed was too uncomfortable. The pots and pans should also be considered replacing, they were in pretty bad shape. I understand hundreds of people rent this property but I think it could have been a little nicer for the cost.

Lacking basic amenities

Location was fantastic, however the actual condo was poorly furnished and lacking in basics that would greatly increase functionality, such as a dresser in the bunkbed room and cutting board in the kitchen. The door threshold to the master bedroom was broken and created a tripping hazard. Unit was not well cleaned, toilet bowl has grime, and trash code was wrong so we were unable to remove any excessive trash or recycling.

Wonderful Condo

This condo had everything we needed. Enough beds for my three kids and a nice comfortable bed for my husband and myself. The kitchen was fully stacked and had plenty of room for me to cook. The location was perfect! Just a walk to the gondola that took you right to the base. We would love to stay there again.

Great location! Condo is over and could us updating. 2nd bedroom has 2 beds- both creaky. No room to unpack in 2nd bedroom. Toilets had black rings in them- either stains from age or not cleaned well. Kitchen stocked adequately- several large pans and a few pots. No significant cooking staples provided- pepper in shaker, no salt, and a can of PAM cooking spray was it. No smart TVs. Management company and owner very responsive and helpful. Loved the skiing. Despite the few things mentioned above I would definitely return.

Functional and Utilitarian, but not very comfortable

This condo is just what you need, but not much more. Our group of six really enjoyed the amenities of the wildhorse gondola proximity and the hot tubs. However the condo itself was pretty meh. The dining table and lounge space are very crowded and all the furniture was pretty uncomfortable. The beds in the bunk bed room were also pretty old and uncomfortable - maybe fine for kids, but not for adults. Fortunately, no one comes to steamboat to hang around inside a condo - so it didn’t limit our enjoyment of the weekend. But suffice to say, if you’d like a comfortable space to gather and hangout after the ski day, this may not be the place for you. However, if you really just need a place to sleep and eat and not much else, this listing will be just what you need. I will say the management company was super responsive and provided all the information I needed to check in and out smoothly.

You Get What You Pay For

Property is almost exactly as listed and described. We enjoyed our stay, notably the location. We did not spend much time at the place besides sleeping and in between skiing. The number one thing I would recommend is that they replace the mattresses in the 2nd room. They are painful and you can feel the wooden bed frame underneath. Otherwise the place is well kept and incredible for a low budget ski weekend!

Construction

Property management communication was great. Very clean property. Right now there is construction going on across the street while they are building a new very tall condominium building, so the streets were full of builders and contractors all trying to use the street. Not the fault of owners, but wasn't the greatest place to be staying while trying to enjoy the outdoors. They even worked on weekends.

Enjoyable but this unit needs some attention.

We love the steamboat area! We have stayed in one of these units each year we visit because of the location and amenities. You will not regret coming to steamboat and enjoying the Colorado vibe. However, this unit needs updating. The pots and pans are scratched, bent and almost unusable. The couch and carpet were very worn and needed replacing. Maybe at a minimum a good professional carpet cleaning. The beds were ok, but the master bed headboard was very flimsy and had to be supported or the bed would rattle. The bunk beds were adequate. Beware, just take the trundle mattress out and put it directly on the ground because if you don’t it has a wood support in the middle that sways the mattress. It is such a great location, but this unit I would steer away from unless some TLC happened. The changes needed are not really expensive and I think a little more love and warmth to this unit would make a world of difference.

False advertising

We loved the location of this condo and while the listing said “just steps away” from the gondola, it is much further, but the location is wonderful. The problem with this condo is that the pictures are nothing like what we experienced. The “bunk” bed with the trundle was two full beds not bunked, one laying on the trundle bed for support making it completely unusable. The top half of one of the beds had zero support and was dipping down. There was a musty odor, most likely from the dirty carpets and/or old flaky couch. The property management company were informed and were able to fix the head of the bed. He also brought a deodorizer spray which we chose not to use because of kids with allergies. The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms are broken. Two barstools were broken. The list goes on. Then, if we couldn’t have felt more Icked out, the shower curtain is very thin and blows out with the forceful shower stream making the mat wet outside of the shower so we had to hang it up for it to dry and the water dripping off of it was dark brown. Not our favorite Vrbo stay ever, but we love the town and the location. We would never stay here again and think the owners should think about some upgrades.

Awesome condo!

The condo was clean and very well equipped in the kitchen. The pool was amazing and the gondola to the base of the mountain was so convenient! We will definitely stay here again

Nice location

The property was in a good location. Walking distance to the Wildhorse gondola. The condo building was quiet. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of cookware and basic spices which was nice. The beds were really soft. It has an assigned parking space and was easy to access keys from lockbox. You may want a car when staying here as the Wildhorse gondola stops running around 5:30pm unless there is night skiing that day. Not sure how far the nearest bus stop is. Communication with management was great. They were very quick to respond. Be aware there is no elevator and just two flights of easy stairs to the unit. The only surprise was the leather on the sofa was flaking off on some of the seat cushions.

Place could have been nicer

This place is just okay and we wouldn’t stay here again. The lone bedroom bed isn’t a king size bed. There was a musty odor present in the apartment and a moldy shower curtain in one of the bathrooms. It’s about a 150 yard walk to the gondola and similar to the hot tub.

Location, Location, Location!!!

This property was in a great location!!! Less then a 5 min walk to the wild horse gondola (which takes you to the base of the ski resort) and was also a close walk to the pool, hot tubs (which were great for after a day of skiing) and the game room! The only thing that didn’t work was the tv In the guest room but that wasn’t a big deal. Very comfortable place!

Great spot

We stayed during mud season and had a blast- great for a family of 5. There was a lot of construction going on nearby, but still great amenities (pool/game room). I would have loved more specific instructions on check-in (like where to get parking pass) and where the pool/game room was located-- maybe this is more clear during regular seasons. Very close to mountain, restaurants, easy to get into town. We would stay here again!

Perfect for a family of 5

Great place to stay with a family of 5. We traveled to Steamboat for a wedding and instead of booking 2 hotel rooms this was a much better option. The condo was perfect size for our family and the pool / spa area was excellent. It was easy to find and the directions on accessing the property were spot on. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. We will stay there again on our next visit to the area hopefully during the ski season.
