A lovely stay

We were very happy with our stay. The house and the property were even nicer than we had imagined, and we had some really lovely days there. Absolutely perfect for a group of 8 people or two families. We will definitely recommend the place to others and would love to visit again.

Great stay at court cottage

Wonderful stay with friends. The cottage has been beautifully decorated with great amenities. Neema and Alex were great hosts and happy to help with a few issues we encountered but resolved these swiftly. Would not hesitate to book again to explore the local area more and enjoy the house once again. Thank you both for a lovely weekend Harriet x

Idyllic, quiet, relaxation with gorgeous views

Possibly the best place we’ve ever stayed. Loved the history & solitude of the cottage, along with running, hiking, walking paths. Owners thought of everything for real comfort, not cheaply done. Plenty for everyone to do. Our family (3 generations) of 8 walked, had a picnic, lounged in the gorgeous gardens, read books, played games, grilled steaks, and never even thought about turning on a television! Could not have been more perfect for us.

Perfect spot for a weekend away

Beautiful cottage - actually even nicer in the flesh! Super clean, everything is high quality, if I’m honest I could’ve moved in! Great spot we watched deer while eating breakfast! Any questions were quickly answered. Would highly recommend and hope to be back.

A perfect getaway

What a perfect location to get away from it all. When we walked in to the property it was warm and welcoming, the house is beautiful. There’s plenty of room inside and everything was freshly prepared for us. There were complementary basics to get us started which was most appreciated. If you want to get away from it all with family and or friends then this is an idyllic spot. We would all return!

Absolutely fabulous!

I booked Court Cottage for a group of friends from both sides of the 'pond'. It exceeded expectations and surpassed the pictures. Comfortable, bright, really well appointed. Sitting in the garden in the late afternoon sunshine...overlooking the stunning Cotswolds landscape....doesn't get better. So grateful to Neema and Alex for sharing this beautiful property. Such a treat. I would not hesitate to return.

A beautiful place to stay!

Court Cottage is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK and the Cotswolds I've ever seen. The views from the bottom of the valley are absolutely stunning and will take your breath away. The home is lovely and has all the Cotswolds charm you could want. We had 7 adults staying there and it was very comfortable, only improvement would be another bathroom or two (as there were only two working bathrooms), however, there was a 3rd bathroom on the ground floor that was under construction. We were there with our 88 year old grandma so other opportunity to improve would be a bedroom on the ground floor for older visitors. The owners of the property were lovely (happened to meet them the weekend we were there) and their dog would even come around each day to say hi and get some cuddles. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Charming house in beautiful surroundings

Court Cottage is a really lovely, comfortable house. It feels like it’s deep in the countryside but it’s an easy walk (on footpaths across fields and up grassy hills) to pubs and independent shops. Lots more to see and do within a short drive. We were eight, so the house was full, and yet we never felt crowded. We cooked every night, and ate around the large dining table. The decor is tasteful, the bedding a delight, the showers powerful, the garden fragrant, and the views marvellous. The beds were extremely comfortable (with the exception of the second bedroom, where the mattress was a little tired). The dishwasher wasn’t working when we were there but not even washing up by hand could affect our enjoyment of the place. We all loved it and want to return.

Classic, comfortable, and beautiful house

Eight women celebrating a 60th birthday, we could not have found a better place to stay. The house is impeccably decorated and kitted out with quality items. A real home from home.. The Butchers Arms pub is 1.5 mile (25 min walk). Public Footpaths run alongside the house making it a fantastic place to walk from. Stunning autumnal views from every window made it even more beautiful. Painswick is walkable. Although the first basket of logs is said to be provided you may wish to take more with you as there were only 3 and no kindling or lighters although it didn't affect us as it was too warm to light the fire but on a cold winters night it would be a welcome addition to the already cosy lounge. Overall it would be hard to find a better cottage for a party of 8 guests. Thank you.

Perfect

A beautiful secluded home surrounded by lush countryside, perfect for a family break. With walks and cycle rides straight from the front door suitable for multi generational outings! One morning we walked to Cranham Common and had a delicious pub lunch at the Back Horse Inn. Lovely little stream in the valley provided opportunities for several games of pooh sticks and bird watching. The beautiful garden was a joy to sit in when the sun shone and provided space for us just to hang out, play games and explore. Court Cottage is very well equipped to cater to a group gathering - it took us a while to work out the Aga, however I think that was just us! We would definitely consider this again for another holiday.

Absolutely delightful

We had the most delightful couple of days. The house is newly renovated and has everything you need. The gardens lovely and local walks also. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside catching up whilst the kids played in the garden. We will absolutely be back.

Family birthday weekend

We had a most enjoyable stay in this lovely, comfortable house, ideal for our family party of 3 couples and a baby. The excellent kitchen facilities, spacious utility and dining rooms meant we could easily cook in the house, important as we didn’t want to take the baby out in the evenings. During the days we were fortunate to have fine weather and walked in beautiful countryside to Painswick Beacon and the pub in Sheepscombe. We would like to have stayed longer, an ideal place to relax and enjoy spending time together.

Idyllic cottage in secluded valley

This is a super house with amazing views down the valley towards Painswick. It calls itself a cottage but is really a proper house with four good sized bedrooms, a dining room, sitting room, kitchen and utility room, and two bathrooms (one en-suite). All of the rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable and the rooms at the front of the house and at the side have wonderful views of the valley and the hills with almost no other house in sight and with quiet all around. We saw pheasants and deer from the window and went for great walks straight from the door. Good pubs nearby and easy access to supermarkets and the like.

Beautiful cottage in picturesque location

We had a wonderful stay at Court Cottage. The property is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is stunning with lovely walks. There is also a very nice pub a 20 minute walk away which does good food, which is a plus. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful stay

Stayed there with 5 adults, 2 children and a baby. Was a beautiful place which would be our ideal home if we could afford it. Beautiful cottage and surroundings. We actually regretted not spending more time in the cottage itself as it was so amazing. The only tricky part was accessing it as it is surrounded by narrow muddy roads. We had a minibus so was a bit nervous when arriving at night, but then we quickly grasped the quickest way onto the main road.

Fabulous!

What a beautiful and well appointed cottage, in a gorgeous tranquil location, overlooking rolling fields which you can access directly from the pretty and manicured garden. The interior is spacious and tasteful, with quality furnishings and accessories. The beds and bedding had us looking up the supplier; they are that comfy! Absolute gem of a find... with lots to explore nearby. We walked Alpacas, had afternoon tea at The Painswick and enjoyed countryside walks ending in a nearby pub. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
