„Very nice room (just need more attention to cleaning the floors) and good burger meal in the pub - thank you!“

„Location stunning vibrant and social atmosphere. staff were very busy but very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice . Room was clean .nice shower. Family room had lovely views.“

„This hotel is very well situated, the parking is a bonus and the views from the restaurant are stunning. The food was well cooked and the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the age of the building and the reason why there was no lift but we struggled somewhat to lug two suitcases up to the top floor as our room was in the converted attic. The view from the room was great and the room itself was spacious, it could have benefited from a fridge and some of the roller ...

„We only stayed for one night but it was brilliant. The cupcakes, milk and eggs left for us were a really lovely touch. My granddaughter was so sad to leave that we will bring the whole family next summer.“

„Ein wunderschönes altes Hotel in bester Lage. Zwei Kritikpunkte: mein Zimmer war ohne Möglichkeit das Fenster zu öffnen. Ausserdem, gegenüber vom Hotel ist ein Lokal, das an Freitag und Samstag offenbar Livemusik anbietet und das enorm laut. Als Frühaufsteher würde ich das Hotel daher leider am Wochenende meiden. Ansonsten habe ich mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.“

„Room was shabby, furniture scratched and well-worn. Bathroom icy cold. However, on bringing these points to the attention of the staff, a heater was delivered - thank you. Obviously there was no quick solution to the shabbiness of the room (suite 2 Manor House). Some of the food was poor, but again on raising this, staff dealt with it. On balance, we feel the staff did what they could to manage our concerns.“

„Spinnenweben und auch das Bad war nicht sauber. Leider wurde das auch auf Aufforderung nicht wirklich behoben. Schade... “

„Clean and tidy little hotel within very close walking distance to downtown Norwich. No frills or amenities, but worth the money. I would stay there again.“

„Eigentümer und Angestellte waren sehr freundlich und äußerst hilfsbereit. Bahnhof und Zentrum sind zu Fuss einfach zu erreichen und in direkter Nähe gibt es Restaurants, Bars und Cafés. Kommen sehr gerne wieder :) “

„Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again.“

„Excellent hotel! Excellent staff. I arrived late due to being held up at work so called ahead, the chap on the phone was kind enough to wait 1hr30 past the check-in deadline for me to get there, thank you! Had only booked the single room for 1 night, while the room could be classed as a little snug it was nothing less than very comfortable. The room is very well presented and incredibly clean, bed was super comfy and bathroom was spotless and of a decent size. Paid extra for the Full English ...

„Clean but a little dated hotel. Only one tiny bottle of shampoo / shower gel provided in the bathroom.“

„Accommodation within student campus, run well and always happy to stay here. Basic and dated but if you just looking for a no frills bed for the night then its perfect“

„Standard room. Nothing special“

„Lady who runs it was lovely very clean room smelt lovely room was a bit small and bed was not very comfortable but every thing else was spot on“

„It was not very clean dust everywhere“
