« The trip was interesting. The check in process would have gone smoother if we had the combination to the lock box. A nice touch would have been if the host had meet us at the property, welcomed us to the property and it would have saved some frustration trying to get into the room. « Excellent stay. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable space. I’m visiting small towns in NE Texas looking for some retirement property or home. Diane’s place is centrally located in between two lakes and the charming town of Mineola. The room was more than enough for a solo traveler. I booked through Expedia and apparently there is some issue with the communication with the VRBO app. It seemed like our messages were delayed or didn’t come through on one app but would show up on the other app....

« Everything was great. I was just a little confused about the exact location but I got it once I was there. The front door locks itself so be careful. Otherwise it was great. »

« The cottage was lovely and it was easy to check-in. The owners were traveling but still managed to communicate with us to arrange a garden tour. The only slight off-note was that the cleaning products used left a strong smell but this was not a big deal. Thank you for a pleasant overnight stay! »

« This quiet getaway was exactly what we needed. This little cottage was absolutely amazing and beautiful, clean on the inside and well maintained. My wife loved everything about it not to mention they even decorated for Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend to stay in the small town of Carthage and stay at the cottage. It has definitely been put on our list of places to revisit! »

« I ended up staying with my friends at The Grand Harbor next door however, I did go through the cabin and found it to be super clean and inviting. All the necessities and amenities one would need were there. AC was working well cooling the place down. The view from the covered porch is amazing!!! Saw and heard so many birds which I love. Jennifer continued to check in to see if we needed anything and responded quickly if we contacted her. »
