My sister got married in Fairhope on 12/30, and in order to be there we needed a place that would allow a senior dog to stay with us. Our pup has arthritis, so we specifically looked for a place with few, preferably no, stairs and this house was perfect for her. There's one small step down to the sun porch and that's it, plus the fenced yard was great! Also the two pet beds (one in den and one in bedroom) were adorable, and so thoughtful.
The house's proximity to Fairhope was perfect - it was barely a 20 minute drive, and so easy even at busier times of day. We also really really enjoyed the short 5 minute drive to delicious coffee and breakfast at the Drowsy Poet, and had fantastic street carnita tacos at Taco Fiesta.
The house itself is beautiful, and we loved the huge den with comfy couch and easy to use TV (access to all the streaming apps once you log in!) We really only used the master bedroom, which was perfect for us (whoever left that step stool for the bed, thank you! I'm petite, and the bed's pretty high!) but all four bedrooms were cozy and cute. I LOVED how many blankets were available in the house. It really did feel like coming 'home' after the wedding events.
Honestly I have nothing but praise for both the property and the owner. Communication was simple, responses were prompt, and check in/out was super easy. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to other travelers, especially those with arthritic senior dogs :)
