Gut: Sauberkeit, Personal & Service und Komfort des Zimmers
The hotel is just about 10 minutes Walk from Taoyuan station inside an old building. Be aware that the address in Bo'ai Road is a bit misleading as there's just the very hidden side entrance (opposite of the easier visible "Taoyuan" tourist shop). The main entrance can instead be reached from Yong'an Road / Minquan Road.
It's one of those very old-fashioned once upper-class hotels falling a bit out of time. The furniture however is still kept well, just the wallpaper is not in best shape anymore and the bathroom would urgently need renovation (no real shower, just a bathtub with curtain etc.; the room was clean and free drinks (not just water) as well as snacks and on the first day also a banana were provided. Thanks to the suite (and maybe also other rooms) having a very small "corridor" with second door, it's very quiet at night.
In the lobby you'll get snacks and drinks all day. Breakfast has a good choice, also not being very exciting. Staff is very friendly and always helpful.
In the surrounding area there are several massage places offensively offering their "services", that might be a bit annoying but of course isn't the hotel's fault.
Overall a good place where I'd stay again.
