« We stayed 3 days here. We were mostly out of the home but it is on a very quiet street that when we slept we didn’t have any issues of traffic or other people. The stairs can be difficult so it you have stairs be prepared. They are a beautiful set of stairs. You are in waling distance of multiple restaurants. The host was VERY accommodating and assured us when we arrived early. It was very much appreciated! »

« This was a lovely little cottage. Very comfortable and the owners were great. It was in the middle of no where and was so peaceful, made perfect with the beautiful horses in the field at the bottom of the garden who always came over to see us all and put dog. The kids could wander and often went trekking in the fields searching for the different wildlife. Will certainly be back. »

Loads of good places/beaches to visit within a 20 minute drive or so, whilst we also enjoyed the delights of Dalwood including a superb dinner at the Tuckers Arms. No doubt we will be back visiting again soon! »

« Lovely clean, very well equipped cottage with a delightful garden. All our needs were catered for. The cottage is in a fabulous setting. Ideal location for walking our dog and a wonderful pub providing exceptional food within a few minutes stroll. Splendid National Trust property almost on the doorstep. Hope to return to the cottage before too long. »

« The property is well situated for exploring Exmoor, both on foot and by car. A short walk takes you to Exford where there are 2 pubs and a teashop(the hub for star gazing nights on a Thursday). There is also a fantastic playground on the green. We were welcomed with home baked bread, spreads and a delicious cake. The cottage has everything, even towels for our dog. « Perfect for our visit. In the area for a wedding and it really filled the bill for my wife, myself, our son and daughter and our young granddaughter. Co-op store across the street. Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity. Great communication with the owner and easy access to the property. »

The cottage is equiped with everything you need- including a stove and a microwave. The road to the farm looks a little steep at first, but I had no problem going up the hill with my regular, "economy" rental car. Paul and Judy gave me great tips to enjoy my quick halt in Bath. And, the Mendip hills area- where the cottage is located- offers very pretty hikes. Great hosts, and...

« Our stay was amazing. Judith , Julian and family were above and beyond. Our Grandsons had a wonderful time on the farm 🚜 we had a tour, bringing the cows in from the field , to watching them being milked, then to feed two new baby calves , and to end it with a tractor 🚜 ride 😀. The accommodation is very clean, and the boys loved living upside down lol 😆. The countryside is beyond words, stunning . I would recommend this 100% we shall definitely go again. Thankyou »

« We returned to stay at the Old Stables again for a few days, coupled with a visit to Glastonbury and Wells. Again, everything was perfect and we love the location, providing excellent access to both towns, with a wonderful rural setting. The space is warm and cosy, with everything being thoughtfully provided for a self-catering stay. We will certainly be back! »

« Lovely cottage in a charming village. Had everything we needed for our stay, and the breakfast was a nice extra. Parking is on street, but there were always spaces available. Well placed to reach desired destinations, and with plenty of walks from the doorstep. »
