Marshall Point Lighthouse is located near the fishing village of Port Clyde, Maine. The Lighthouse property includes the wonderful light, connected via the long wooden runway to the property, a lovingly-restored Keeper’s House, as well as welcoming grounds and complimenting gardens. In The Keeper’s House, there is an extensive museum housing exhibits centered on the lighthouse as well as a historic look into the industries and life on our peninsula.
As an interesting detail, in the movie “Forest Gump” Tom Hanks concluded his long run on the lighthouse runway.
There is “limited” but adequate parking available with easy access to the grounds and Museum.

„The location was a 10 minute drive from Boothbay and the rooms were newly renovated and very cute. But some of the furniture was coming apart during normal use. Biggest concerns were as follows:1. "Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat für uns nicht gestimmt. Das Frühstück war minimalistisch und leider noch mit viel Plastik und Papptellern. Der Teppichboden war schmutzig und roch muffig. Das Bad und der Boden in und vor dem Bad war relativ neu. Das Bad war in Ordnung. Die Betten bequem. Für eine Nacht ok."

"Auf unserer Reise sind wir bisher in 31 Motels / Hotels übernachtet. Dieses Motel figuriert an let zter Stelle. Völlig überteuert, schlechtes Preis / Leistungsverhältnis. Kein Frühstück, keon Safe im Zimmer. Im Zimmer total schmutzige Böden. Ansonsten schöner Pool, geräumige Zimmer, genügend Parkplätze. Aber in die "Jahre" gekommen. Bezeichnend: Während praktisch alle Motels / Hotels in Camden "no vacancys" vermeldeten, hatte dieses noch freie Zimmer - sicher ein Plus in der Hochsaison. Zum Zentrum Camden "by walking" ca. 20 Minuten. Restaurant vor Ort hervorragend und innovative Küche, aber ohne Frühstück und nur über Wochenende geöffnet."
