« It was remote with almost no light pollution. You'll seldom see brighter stars. It had everything we needed. Understand that it is remote, even for remote. The host was great to deal with. The housing is exactly as listed...a farmhouse far from the road. It was comfy, it was cozy. It didn't have the frills some would like to see in a stay but it was perfect for my wife and me. You wont find as much for so little anywhere near Caprock. »

« My stay was spectacular. 1000/10. The pictures doesn't capture the beauty of this stay. We stayed for two days and honestly my stay at the boxcar was the best part of the trip. If you are second guessing go for it! Friendly dogs and beautiful horses as well. Becky also gave suggestions on things to do, she keeps the place clean comfy. she’s really a super host! Again 1000/10 definitely recommend! »
