We loved this house - very clean, with all the amenities that’s perfect for a family vacation. Its location sits close to the water with beautiful views of the branch. Kids loved the pool/l table/ping pong table, big kitchen for meals, beautiful deck with a fire pit to enjoy sitting outside. Walking distance to the lake - water toys including kyaks and beach chairs for the lake were provided. We’ll definitely want to rent this house again next summer.

Property was comfortable for us friends to visit and hike in Lassen National Park and around Lake Almanor. Backyard deck was ideal for evening relaxation with the sound of the river flowing. Enjoyable stay overall!

I stayed here with several co-workers and the house was perfect! Lots of space and very clean. Getting into the house was easy and the host was responsive. The location is beautiful next to a river while also being close to the lake and town.

Awesome House - with Great Deck Scene!

Fantastic property. Large home that can accommodate many guests with a fantastic deck above the river - great for hanging out and catching up. Debbie and Dave are great hosts, very responsive. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked in terms of dishes, cooking utensils, etc. I/we will definitely stay there again and I highly recommend this property.

Loved it

Huge clean house, everything you could need for a stay. Lots of games and fun entertainment. Location is awesome. The river is amazing with a fun hike down to it. The hosts are spectacular. We got stuck off roading and needed an emergency pick up- they did not need to do this for us but they did - we are so grateful. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing home and view!!!!

Our family stayed at the house for four nights. The house is beautiful but the back deck and the view of the river is amazing. We spent most of our time sitting on the deck and fishing in the river. The guys loved the pool table. Debbie and Dave are great hosts, we would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a beautiful home with amazing views and a short drive to Lake Almanor.

First I'd like to say Debbie and Dave are excellent hosts and communicate regularly. The house is spacious, clean and the location is excellent. We could not have asked for a better week up at Almanor. The weather was perfect and I was reminded why I have such fond memories coming up every summer as a kid with my family and friends. Wonderful! Quiet Cabin in the woods by a river

We had a quiet stay in the cabin by the river. The river canceled out any other noises (which were minimal) and we found the place very calming and quiet. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and the living room is large with a great view. The host was very accommodating and made the whole process exceedingly easy on us. The cabin is not overly staged and feels very home-y. Highly recommend for a quiet spot. My only suggestion is that if you bring small children, you will need to keep an eye on them as there is a steep hill leading to the water.

Beautiful and relaxing setting

The house was very clean and well organized. We were in Lake Almanor for my niece's wedding that was less than 3 miles away. We had 8 people actually staying in the house that included a 10-month-old to my 87-year-old mother. We had plenty of room to spread out. My favorite was the porch swing on the deck that overlooked the river. The house was also large enough to have a BBQ and S'mores and game night with extended family. The sounds of the river were very relaxing.

Our stay was amazing. Our hosts were perfect. All the information was so clear. The house was SUPER clean. They thought of everything from karaoke to pool or ping pong. Plenty of board games too. The beds are excellent and so comfortable. The deck had plenty of seating and dining for our family. They haven’t missed a thing. All you need in the kitchen is there. Better than advertised

Many homes don't quite meet expectations as advertised on VRBO. This home was not one of them. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, the Home was so much better than our expectations. The deck over the river is so serene and there is plenty of space to lounge including a nice fire pit to sit around. Despite neighbors on both sides of the house, the house is very private. Inside the house was roomy and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities including the pool table, corn hole, chess board and big screen TV to watch football and BBQ. The kitchen and large bedrooms were great too. We highly recommend the house. Thank you Debbie for the multiple emails inquiring to confirm everything was as it should be.

Amazing Getaway

This home has everything you would want or need in a home for a vacation rental. The home is in great shape and you can tell the owners take pride in their home from how clean everything is and all the amenities they provide. My husband and I and our 3 grown sons took full advantage of the pool table/ping pong, karaoke, played poker and sat on the deck looking at the gorgeous view and listening to the river. The hosts are amazing and we were lucky enough to get to meet them and chat a bit. They are by far the best hosts we have ever had. Debbie even reached out during our stay (this has never happened before) to see if everything was ok and if there was anything we needed. It was such a wonderful 60th bday celebration for my husband and our family. We had lots of laughs and made many awesome memories. We did lots of fly fishing, played disc golf and enjoyed the outdoors which is why we picked Lake Almanor. You will definitely not regret staying at this lovely home. Can't wait to go back some day. We couldn’t of asked for a better experience!

This home was PERFECT for a family vacation with 7 adults. The house is beautifully maintained, has spacious rooms and a truly beautiful deck and view, and is well-stocked with virtually every creature comfort one could want on vacation. My family had fun creating a dinner experience every night and we found all we needed in the well-stocked kitchen. Dinner out on the deck was sensational, with the "music" of the rushing river below to serenade us. The house was spacious and made it easy to tuck away for individual quiet moments now and then. We really enjoyed the home's amenities, like kayaking and ping pong. Debbie and Dave were particularly gracious hosts, accommodating some special needs we requested. They were also fabulous communicators, enthusiastically sharing information on the area's best spots. Check in and check out were as easy as it gets. No fuss, no hassle. My family and I have been so looking forward to this vacation together. (We live hundreds of miles from one another, so time together is fleeting.) This home was the perfect place for us. My family and I spent the middle of the week at the VRBO in Hamilton Branch. After the past year of COVID lock down we were ready to get out of our house. After a long drive, we arrived an hour earlier than expected and found the VRBO freshly cleaned, ready for us to relax. The initial attraction was to go inside to explore and let the kids stake out their rooms, but our attention quickly turned to the back porch overlooking the fast-flowing creek. It was at this time we realized we arrived at a perfect vacation spot for us. Over the course of the next five days, the patio was one of the high points to the property to simply sit and relax to the gentle sound of the creek. Yes, it was cold, low 30’s to high 40’s, but after all, it was the month of March in the Sierra Mountains. It was what we wanted and expected. The house was comfortably furnished and provided plenty of distraction for the kids to play ping-pong, learn how to play pool and poker, plus there are plenty of board games, too. If I had to select one negative thing about the house, I would say the two leather sofas were not comfortable, but I did manage to take a nap on one. The bedrooms provide ample space for the kids to spread out and all rooms, except one room downstairs, provided views of the creek. Our bed was very comfortable, and the sheets and blankets provided the needed warmth without the bulk. I appreciated both the comfortable mattress (I do not say this lightly as I have a bad back) and the no bulk blankets. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and used it often, especially after sitting on the back porch. We purposely did not use the wood fireplace, but it was prepped, clean and ready for use. As the cook of our household, I appreciated the diversity of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils provided. We cooked all our meals and were able to accomplish his with all the kitchen appliances provided (perhaps a larger cheese grater would have helped for our cheese hungry kids), but I found the kitchen to be more than sufficient. I am not a fan of electric stoves, but it worked well without issue. Overall, we really enjoyed the house and its amenities, and we would return for anther trip to the Lake Almanor area.

Wonderful winter getaway

This is a fantastic house! It's comfortable, homey and had a lot of space for our family to spread out. The ping pong table and pool table were a big hit for the crew. Debbie was a great host and wonderful to work with. We highly recommend this home and hope to come back!

Great Fishing Cabin

Pros: Great location for fishing enthusiasts. Great communication from owner. Fun house w lots of entertainment features like a pool table, ping pong table (not sure where to play it), board games, karaoke, electric piano. Cons: Very strict house rules. Multiple copies posted around the house. Owner asks for renters to take garbage out when checking out, as well as clean dishes (what does the $200 cleaning fee include?) The thermostat is password protected, and is not provided to the renter, so no way to adjust it.

Great experience

We booked the listing to use for a family vacation. The property was wonderful and definitely lived up to expectations. Debbie was very responsive when we had questions and we were sad to leave.

Lake Almanor

The house is exactly as described. Large and roomy, able to accommodate a large party. It is close to the lake. The river below is beautiful and relaxing. Loved the deck. The owners are very nice and attentive.
