« We stayed for 1 night at the end of September for a birthday. The hotel was stunning. The spa was bliss. We had a room with a hot tub and it was perfect. The hotel was quiet at night and other guests were respectful. The food and drinks were good, a bit on the pricier side. I would definitely stay again. »

Our room was a different matter, when choosing our room from scanning the pictures, on your website we chose a cosy garden lake view room, but, the room we were allocated on arrival appeared to reflect a double room, The issues that we had with the room are as follows:
The toilet brush was dirty and the stainless steel container was rusty and in a very sub standard condition.
There was also a water leak which appeared to be coming from...
« We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!!
We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up.
The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry"
It is a shame !!!

« A really lovely hotel, staff were attentive and friendly. The facilities, especially the spa were really fantastic and a cut above others I’ve visited. The breakfast was excellent and I really loved the decor and picture collages in the dining area. Thank you for a lovely stay. »

« The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...
