« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« 116room has lovely new decor but 114 looks tired with old traditional furniture in it which should be got rid of as it brings the whole feel of the room down and with the size of the room I think a bigger bed would make a good statement in there .. breakfast was ok but more seeds and fruit would be nice . »

« Great staff, very well-presented and well-maintained hotel. Genuinely one of the cleanest places I've stayed. Easy walk into town or to the beach. I'm not from the coast and it was wonderful to hear the sea at night. »

« Small B&B which is in a quiet area, but just of main routes so easy to find. There is sufficient off-street parking for guests which is a plus. Breakfast offers a good choice for all tastes and the breakfast room, at the side of the property affords sea views which adds to the pleasant feel of what is obviously a well run B&B. The room had a comfortable double bed, ensuit bathroom and provided with tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits.I was met by the host on arrival and given a tour so I...

« Beautiful hotel, lots of character and really friendly staff. We stayed in La Rosa room and enjoyed a delicious cocktail in the lounge before going out to explore Whitby. Thoroughly recommend! »
