The bedrooms are good sizes and we had everything we needed. My daughter appreciated the tvs with access to app subscriptions. The hot tub is huge, very relaxing. Lovely to have a fire and outside space. Being next to the stream and right by the waterfall was a great bonus. “

Negatives: Reception inpolitie. Severe lack of middle management. Fire Alarm was activated during the night. No proper evacuation procedure. Obvious lack of fire training for staff. No one able to reset the technic and all elderly and special needs guests had to walk many flights of stairs. No ...

„Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus nahe der Uferpromenade und der Bus- und Pferdebahnhaltestelle. Die Lage ist trotzdem ruhig. Das Essen und der Service sind hervorragend. Unser Apartment war sehr groß, gut eingerichtet und sauber.“

„Das Frühstück war sehr gut. In unserem Bad ließ sich leider die Heizung nicht abstellen, deshalb mussten wir oft das Fenster öffnen und uns hat im Zimmer ein kleiner Tisch mit 2 Stühlen gefehlt. „We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. „As a flight crew we choose the hotel because of the good rating! And everything was as described! Nice people and good and clean rooms! The bed was cosy and comfortable. Especially the lady at the reception was fantastic! We asked for a late checkout and she did. everything to manage it. Of course we did get different rooms, but we could keep the rooms for free until 4:30pm the next day. This attitude is not always available in the hotel industry! Definitely we will come again “

„The location was beautiful on the sea front and near the electric train. We rented a car for one day and we were easily able to find parking in front of the building. We didn’t eat breakfast at King’s House as we were busy in the mornings. We got fresh towels each day and a fresh supply of cookies and tea. The staff were eager to help with whatever you needed.“
