« We stayed at the Manor House for two nights. It is a beautiful old building, which has been thoughfully modernised inside. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower, with plenty of hot water. It was also surprisingly quiet, for being in a town, with the occasional call of a pair of tawny owls. The staff were absolutely great, and very efficiently with their service. Breakfast was superb, with a menu to suit everyone. Don't be put off by the hotel not serving evening...

« Très belle chambre, grand confort et la cadeau de bienvenue était un vrai bonus nous qui adorons le Titanic ! Par contre petit couac, il n’y avait pas de produit d’hygiène dans la salle de bain pour la douche. De plus le petit déjeuner était fermé ce jour là. Mais nous avons été orienté vers un très bon endroit. »

« Another restful stay at this lovely hotel. It’s always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The bar /restaurant is excellent. We normally stay weekdays and it’s pretty quiet but it’s a near perfect wedding/party venue so I would imagine it’s pretty busy and maybe not so restful at the weekends. It’s situated near but not in the Peak District in lovely surroundings. Hopefully we’ll be back again sometime. »

« It is an excellent hotel. Polite and knowledgeable staff. Great food and dining areas. It’s not a cheap hotel but it’s a treat to have hotels like this in a super area in the peaks. Offering a upmarket service. We will revisit this hotel. »

« Great for Peak District, lively pub with atmospheare...well prepared food at reasonanle prices and nice and quiet after 11 or so.... full breakfast with options. Really enjoyed a one nighr stop and would return whrn next out hiking! »

« Great pub, exceptionally clean, comfortable and modern rooms and super friendly staff. As a bonus, the food is of a very high standard and the Guinness was decent. Can’t fault this place in any way, stopped here to be in the area for the snooker at the Crucible in Sheffield, it was a 20 minute taxi ride from here to Sheffield Town Centre. As Arnie said….. I’ll be back 😂 »
