« The check in process was simple and easy. The house was spacious enough for my large family. There was a dock for the boat and the swimming area was great. The kids had a blast swimming and playing on the water mat. Early mornings and evenings were peaceful as you watched some wildlife. A great time was had by everyone. »

« This is the second time we've stayed here. We love it just as much as before! Plus, we were comfortable and familiar! We typically put our 4 yr old in the smaller of the two upstairs rooms. We tuck the more fragile things in a closet and she does great! We will be returning any time we need to be in the area for family functions! »

« A perfect multigenerational family getaway. A nicely renovated property with first class furnishings and amenities. Main floor bedroom and full bath ideal for family with children or those that can’t use stairs. Private sandy beach easily accessible perfect for wading or swimming (kids loved it!). Owner provided beach chairs, canopy, umbrella and beach toys for kids were high quality and in great condition. Easy driving from Richmond or DC. Lovely and peaceful location. Highly recommended! »

« Even though we could only stay one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. So much detail to everything, games for kids, cleanliness, coffee for adults, its own little bird sanctuary out back with hummingbirds. The patriotic theme throughout was my favorite. « We had a wonderful few days at the Little House as part of a longer week exploring VA and WV. The cottage was inviting and well equipped (even Band-Aids!). The property was tranquil with great water views. It was in a secluded area yet a short drive to nearby towns. We enjoyed use of the kayak, relaxing on the porch, and listening to the rain hit the roof on our last night. Rob and the neighbors are welcoming and friendly. »

« This property served our needs very well. We had people aged 6 months to almost 91 years old and everybody enjoyed themselves. Plenty of space to be together or slip away for a nap. The owners were available and helpful whenever they were needed (not to mention friendly and generous with their hospitality - allowing us to pick some garden produce!). Highly recommend. »

« We had a great time kayaking, fishing, catching crabs and eating outside with our family under the picnic table. We didn’t get a chance to use the firepit but we really appreciate that there are firewood available to use. The house is was perfect for my family. I’m glad that even though it’s an older home, the bathrooms and bedrooms were updated. My mom and sisters who came with us really enjoyed the stay too. The host were great and awesome too. Quick on responding too. »
