Harbourway - a pet friendly that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms
Harbourway sits on West End, the curving road that runs gently downhill to Craster's double-walled quay. It's the end house of a pair, and faces south, with the charming front garden offering panoramic views down to the harbour and the North Sea. It also ensures you're a little removed from the village hustle and bustle.
Inside, Harbourway has everything you'd expect of a traditional seaside cottage. Beams and wooden effect porcelain floors run throughout, and decorative touches hint at the house's maritime heritage – a pair of oars placed over a hearth, a wicker crab pot, a porthole window peeping out onto blue northern skies. Unusually for Craster, Harbourway offers plenty of parking – there's space for upto four cars.
On one side of the house is the spacious living room, a cosy space for relaxing, with deep sofas to sink into, and a wood burner recessed into the handsome inglenook fireplace. On the other side is the dining room, with another impressive granite fireplace with electric wood burning stove providing the focal point. Both have big bay windows with window seats to make the most of the views.
From here, arched French doors open out onto the sun-room, a light-filled space filled with additional seating, and warmed by underfloor heating. Another set of sliding doors leads out onto the front patio - perfect for sunny summer breakfasts.
The kitchen is at the back of the house, open-plan in design and cottagey in feel. It's fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher, electric range cooker, american fridge freezer, washer/dryer and a wine fridge. A small passageway leads past the stairs to a cosy bedroom with en-suite shower room, the first of four, tucked away into the northeast corner of the cottage and very private. The bed in this room can be made up as either a super-king or twin beds.
There are three more bedrooms upstairs: two further en-suite shower rooms, with another smaller twin bedded room ideal for children sandwiched between, and a modern family bathroom at the top of the stairs. The cottagey feel continues up here: pine doors, solid wooden beams and the super comfy beds are dressed with Melin Tregwynt woollen blankets.
Harbourway is also dog-friendly - you're welcome to bring along a well-behaved canine companion, as long as it's at least a year old.
If you fancy exploring Craster, just downhill from the cottage you'll find the legendary local fishmonger L. Robson and Sons, famous for their smoked kippers, and the Jolly Fisherman Inn, a friendly local hangout and a fine spot for an evening pint.

Perfect family stay

Fabulous Holiday Cottage
Our first stay at a Catch The Breeze property but definitely not our last.
Customer care and what Harbourway delivers to a multi generational family has been five star.
Well appointed, spotless and comfy cottage that delivers a perfectly situated base for exploring Northumberland or a cosy bolthole for some quiet downtime.

Harbourway - a great place to stay
House is in a great location with sea view close to harbour. Plenty of walks from the village so no need to get into the car. There is a pub in the village which serves good food

One of the best holiday cottages in Craster
Having stayed here four times (fifth visit already booked) Harbourway is our home from home. Superbly located and very well equipped, this cottage is simply outstanding. A great deal of thought has gone into those extra little touches to make us feel comfortable, and our dog is well catered for too! Thank you and congratulations Catch the Breeze.

Late summer holiday
Having stayed in the house previously we were interested to see how it was with new owners. Overall it was great! Beds comfortable , bathrooms well organised kitchen well equipped. The location is perfect most morning coffee taken outside looking out to sea.

Delightful winter week away in Craster
We stayed for a week at Harbourway in January and found the house to be perfect for a winter break. It is spacious and warm, delightfully fitted out, everything you require is to hand and the location is second to non. Our party of 8 found the property perfect, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beds comfy, good quality linen and towels, plenty of bathrooms, and a view of the sea. The garden would be ideal in the summer with two terraces for eating and sitting out and a garden room attached to the house which has underfloor heating. There is parking for 4 vehicles which is tight but adequate. Even in winter there are plenty of local pubs to get delicious meals in and places to grab a lunch or coffee and cake. All in all a lovely place to be for a week with friends, family and the dog.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location
We had a great stay at Harbourway, just a stone throw away from Craster harbour and the coastal path to Dunstanborough. A really well equipped and comfortable cottage; will definitely return for another stay.

Beautiful house, beautiful location
Beautiful property in a fantastic location, suitable for a family stay with grandparents. The Dog goody bag was an unexpected, lovely touch. There's is so much to do and see in the area and so many lovely walks too.

Stunning Home in the heart of Craster
Wow what a beautiful property. One of the best we have stayed in a fantastic position in Craster. Stayed as a group of friends and the 4 en suite bedrooms served our set up perfectly. Maintained and presented to a very high standard we all decided we could absolutely live there. Bus stop outside. Gorgeous walks on the beach to dunstanburgh castle, low newton, Bamburgh and boulmer along the coastal path in the other direction. We would not hesitate to recommend. We booked again for next year on the day we came home and are trying out another of the properties in the catch the breeze group.

Beautiful cottage
Harbourway is a beautiful cottage. My family and I really enjoyed our stay there. An advantage for us was the amount of space for our family of 3 households. Of a person of almost 70, I found having a downstairs bedroom a real asset, as was the number of bathrooms for us all. The only real downside for me and anyone with mobility issues, was the slope between the gate and front door, plus the slope and steps towards my car.

Excellent holiday experience
Stunning property in a stunning location; what more is there to say? Beautifully laid out and extremely well equipped cottage all to an exceptional standard. Great to sit out on the front just watching the view and the world go by. Been to Northumberland many times, this was by far the best!

Fantastic property in Craster
Superb property in a fantastic position in Craster. Very well equipped, super comfy, sunroom a lovely place to sit and relax. Patio overlooking the harbour and sea beyond a great place for breakfast and coffee on a sunny morning. Will definitely look to book again with Catch the Breeze if/when we return to Craster

Outstanding cottage
Wonderful location with superb views across the harbour, this cottage is outstandingly good. Well equipped, comfortable, nice front garden, parking for two cars, what's not to like? We have stayed here three years running and have just booked again for next year. We were very sorry to have to leave for home yesterday!

Harbourway is definitely the best holiday house we have stayed in and we are regular visitors to Northumberland. Everything was so clean and comfortable. Craster is a great base to explore different locations. We had a great walk to the castle and onto Embleton. We will definitely be back
