We loved our stay, the house is clean and comfortable, and the views and surrounding areas are beautiful. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great place to stay close to downtown and still feeling like you’re in a mountain cabin!

Fine for a night or two. Not for a week

This property is in a not very nice area. There were tenants downstairs walking by walking by constantly and you could hear them in the rental.The rental decorated nicely, but the bathroom is very small, and the kitchen really not useful for full on cooking.Fine for a breakfast but also too small for anything else.Unfortunately, we could also hear scurrying in the walls and ceiling.Would not stay again.

Secluded feeling, close to the city!

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is secluded, yet close to all of Asheville. The house is spacious and extremely clean. The hosts are very informative and quick to respond.

PERFECT place for visit to Asheville!!!

This was a great find and perfect spot for our guys trip to Asheville. The host was very attentive, with a great guide that answers any questions/concerns upon your stay. The location was absolutely perfect with a great cabin/country vibe while being very close to downtown Asheville with everything you need nearby. I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again the next time I’m in Asheville!

Great Mountain Stay Close to Everything

This place was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed it very much. It was quiet, clean and located close to the city's and surrounding attractions. Very cute Vrbo which we will keep in mind for future stays. Definitely recommended it.

Road to the property

Other reviews stated how tight, narrow the road to the house was and they weren't lying. 🙂 Otherwise, the place was perfect, small, quaint, clean and very close to downtown. Great location! A great experience was had by all.

Best of both worlds

This lovely home is centrally located to all that Asheville has to offer, but is tucked away up in the trees. As a result, it is a quiet and beautiful spot to unwind. The home had all the amenities we needed for our family vacation (coffee, games, laundry) and was very comfortable for the four of us. We will be back!

Meeting New Grandbaby Teddy

The place was extraordinary! Accommodations were perfect! Place was so well appointed and had so many nice touches! Location was perfect....so close to downtown Ashville yet in the mountains....so unique! We were able to get the full Ashville experience in great part due to where we stayed. Host was super responsive and so helpful on a number of levels. I was visiting my son and new Grandson with my wife and Mom and the trip couldn't have been better. We couldn't have found a better place to stay! only 5 stars because more aren't availalbe! :-)

Perfect location

Wonderful amenities and perfect location. Followed previous suggestions and arrived prior to sunset. Definitely a steep and winding road up to the house, but we found it quaint. So secluded, yet only a mile to the heart of downtown Asheville!

Great option close to downtown but feels further away

We enjoyed staying at Upper Zurich and would stay again. The property was extremely clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and the snacks and toiletries were a very welcoming touch. Our first door code didn’t work but the hosts contacted me back on our SOS within minutes and got us a code that worked. The hosts also checked with us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed - which was nice. The bamboo forest to the side of the property is really beautiful. A recommendation to the hosts: a nightlight or dimmer switch for the bathroom lights would be nice for help navigating to the bathroom in the nighttime. One note to future guests: the road to Upper Zurich is skinny - we are used to mountain roads but this road around the chalets is basically a driveway. If you have a smaller car to bring that’s great. We were in a 4Runner and backed down a couple of times and also did the loop a couple of times but had to make a three-point turn to make one of the corners. That was all fine as it wasn’t busy but if we had brought our other car (a smaller SUV with better turning radius) it would have been better. Also, Google Maps routed us down regular Delano instead of N Delano. Ignore Google - go up N Delano.

Sister’s trip 2023

We met in Asheville for our second annual sister’s trip. We could not have chosen a better property! It was just outside (5 mins) downtown Asheville, but felt like we were in a mountain retreat. The location was perfect for accessing all the sites and locations we wanted to visit. The home was perfect for the three of us and made it so easy just to relax and spend some time together. Ed and Marwa were great and kept in touch regularly. Would highly recommend.
