Enjoyable stay will go back

This B & B has everything we needed - clean, comfortable bed, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities, very good breakfast and variety to choose from including full English. Short walk to Bala town where you can find different restaurants and shops, very convenient. Will certainly go back there.

Great spot, recommended

We've had a fantastic stay over at Pen Isar Llan with our family and dog. Its a lovely spot with lots character and natural beauty Hosts were very attentive and had lots of recommendations about local areas to visit. Breakfast was also very good, exactly how we'd like it. Will definitely stay again next time we're in the area.

The location of this property is excellent. Can walk into town, close to many activities. Lovely hosts, incredibly delicious full English breakfast. We had the spacious snug which was cozy and had its own lounge. We didn't want to leave!

Best B&B we’ve had the pleasure of staying at.

Beautiful B&B, fabulous hosts and a superb breakfast that sets you up for the day! Nothing is too much trouble and there are many thoughtful touches. Chilled milk on the tables, lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room, and even a sausage cooked for the dog! We were even lucky enough to go to Portmeirion and leave our dog with the hosts, as we discovered on the way that we couldn’t take her into the village! Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Very friendly and welcoming. We were severely delayed because of ferry disruptions and the late arrival arrangements were excellent: our host was very concerned for our welfare. We were offered a late lie-in or return to bed after breakfast if we wanted - which we didn't.

Lovely guesthouse.

We were warmly welcomed by our host who was friendly and attentive throughout. Lovely surroundings and very comfortable room with all required amenities. Couldn't be happier. Thank you very much for a lovely stay!

Fabulous Place

We had a nights stay on the way to Pwllheli with our young daughters. The owners were very accommodating and Pat even took my eldest to feed her horses before we left. We’ll definitely be back to stay at some point!

Very nice B&B on the outskirts of Bala

Great hosts who were helpful in suggesting places to eat and drink whilst in Bala, a very tasty breakfast and lovely B&B in a great location. Plus stunning scenery all around made for a lovely stay.

Highly recommended.

Booked this place to stay at the last minute due to bad weather on a camping weekend. It worked out a perfect place to stay. Friendly and attention to detail to make sure I was comfortable and all my needs were met. Excellent value for money and then some! The photos on hotels.com don’t do this place justice.

Weekend stay

This is a nice B&B, but it is need of a little TLC. The room with bedroom and lounge was OK, but was close to the main road and so quite noisy with traffic noise and there was no milk for tea in the room. We had to ask for this on the second day. The breakfast was very nice, with a good choice. A bit expensive for what you got.

Welsh Country Farm House

Very warm welcome and excellent facilities. It is an old welsh farmhouse and is very well looked after and the family who run it are fantastic.

Lovely place to stay

We stayed in the cottage which was lovely, only slight grumble is that the shower wasn't great and the floors were very cold despite being summer. Take a pair of slippers and you'll be fine! Hosts went out of their way to be helpful, breakfasts were really good and they even made us a sausage sandwich on the last morning as we were leaving early

Lovely little place in the heart of Wales

Beautiful place just outside of town. Our host gave us some good tips for our travel the next day which were great. The building is old and the power went out briefly while my wife was in the shower. Even so we'd stay here again.

The owner made us feel at home with a warm welcome and great service! We booked it last minute on the weekend. It was everything we need...warm, cozy, pet friendly, and food!

Visiting in-laws/family living in Bala, Wales

Stayed 4 nights, wonderful, relaxing time. Patricia was very accommodating, easy to talk to; the 400 year old farmhouse felt like home away from home. Comfortable and easy access to town. As an American though I found the shower limiting and confining which seems to be the norm in Great Britain. I still highly recommend this old charming farmhouse. If you’re looking for ghost, sorry you won’t find it here.

Almost Heaven

Patricia and her family made us feel like one of their own. Home is quaint but beautiful and quite well maintained. We suffered an automobile accident during our stay and Patricia and her family went above and beyond to help us to resolve it. In our opinion you could not find a nicer place to stay in Wales

Lovely b&b and very nice host

Lovely b&b, the host was very friendly and helpful & the breakfast was great. We had a double room with a private external bathroom just outside the room. The b&b is on the outskirts of Bala, it is on a busy main road but this wasn't a problem for us. The location was ideal as the NWWC we were visiting was a few miles up the road. The main street of Bala is probably around a mile from the b&b.

Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay here for 3 nights. Out of the 8 hotels we stayed on our trip, this was the friendliest welcome and best breakfast by far. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you want to visit north wales!
