What a beautiful stay at Banner Elk! Jonathan and family are awesome hosts! They took care of every smallest details of their guests needs. Home with a beautiful Mountain View’s, lots of Deers around so you really feel and enjoy the nature. The house itself is beautifully maintained, very neat and clean! We’ll definitely come again! Thank you Jonathan for the wonderful stay!

We took our first big family vacation last week with our 4 kids, their spouses and our 9 grandchildren. I was a bit nervous since 8 of the grandbabies range from 6 months to 5 years old and 9th one is only 9. This home has so much room that it wasn’t an issue at all. Every family had their own room and the main living area is huge! Even with all the littles in there dancing around, we still had plenty of room. It snowed a decent amount( at least from my Floridian viewpoint) 2 times during our stay and it was so fun! We all were sliding down the hill, building snowmen and having snowball fights. The owner had his landscaper come by both times and scrape and de-ice the steep driveway so we could get in and out. We didn’t really leave much though. We just enjoyed our time together, the beautiful snow and the absolutely breathtaking view from the ginormous picture window in the main living area. When the kids were not out in the snow, they were playing in the game room. They really only could play the arcade game, but it occupied them for hours. They also have a ton of board games and cards with poker chips, which the adults utilized after the little ones went to bed. The kitchen is big with plenty of space for us to put all our food. They had everything you could need already there. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms are big. There is even a washer and 2 dryers which we def needed after all the snow time. Stay here, you will not regret it!

Jonathan was a phenomenal host, the house is spacious and caters to family gathering so nicely. The View from the porch alone is worth it to book everything else was a cherry on top. Beds are incredibly comfortable as well! We highly recommend you stay here too.

Lovely Experience

We had 4 families with small children stay in this home for a weekend away. It was the perfect gathering spot with two living rooms- one for kids and one for adults. The amenities made it easy to stay on property and enjoy company for most of the stay, also with easy access to good food and outdoor activities. Would love to see what the home looks like in the winter with snow! This is the perfect home for traveling with children (big and small).

We had 4 families in this property for my mom’s 75th birthday ages 4-75. There was something for everyone! The kitchen was well stocked. Another great stay here!

We’ve stayed here twice now for back to back weekends and had an excellent experience both times. The house is beautiful and we loved the view, hot tub, game room, and how many it sleeps. The host is super responsive and helpful and check in and check out went very smoothly. If you’re coming in the winter and there’s snow in the forecast, I do recommend having AWD or winter tires for the steep driveway.

Fantastic Girls Weekend

Had a wonderful weekend with 10 girls to celebrate a 50th birthday! Weather was meh but the home was warm and welcoming! The owner was very responsive to the one issue we had and helped us resolve it the next day. Plenty of space for all of us to gather, laugh and create memories! Thank you for hosting us! Wonderful place - Awesome location and view

This place was excellent. The host had everything you can think of, TVs in every room, two living rooms, game room, fire pit with lots of wood available, hot tub outside was heated and ready for us. Enough dishes for our large group. House was safe for young kids, my 15 months old walked all around the house. Older kids enjoyed the abundant collection of board games. The pool table is kind of squeeze in, not enough room to play ur best, but we still enjoyed. There was a grill outside, and outdoor table and chairs to eat outside. The location was good, short drive to many attractions. I can keep talking about all amenities, host thought about everything, there was a first aid kid, we didn’t have to worry about bath tissue, hand soap, dish washer soap, liquid soap, laundry detergent, extra batteries, towels, pillow covers, let’s not forget the espresso and coffee machines, stocked. Many places that we stayed at, we always had to go to the store to get things, here we felt at home. Would love to come back again in the future, and I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. Host was responsive and easy to communicate through VRBO.

Beautiful View with Cozy Spaces

We travel to the mountains every year with my parents and my sister's family and this property has been one of our favorites so far. It was easily accessible and the view is absolutely gorgeous (a large field with cows as well as trees and mountains in the back). The spaces are very comfortable for our group of 10 (like a large dining room and fire pit). It was really nice that it has 2 living rooms, which we were able to use at the same time (kids will stay in one and adults in the other), and a cute, well supplied coffee station with a delicious Nespresso and Kurig machine. The kitchen was well stocked too. All the bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kids enjoyed sharing a room with 2 bunk beds. Bathrooms had all needed supplies and towels. One thing though, the murphy beds are in one of the living rooms, and unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable using this room as a bedroom. The game room was nice, although it needs a little ventilation. They also provided some board games that the kids enjoyed. Overall the spaces were tastefully decorated, with nice details all over (including a fresh cut flower when we arrived). We fell in love with the reclaimed wood wall as well as the beautiful olive trees. We encountered a few issues that we immediately communicated with the host, Jonathan. He was quick to reply and find solutions. He was very helpful. Overall, we would recommend this property and will certainly stay here again.

Great getaway for our teacher group!

We had a group of 11 elementary teachers take a short trip before the school year starts and what a great house to spend it in! The view is amazing! We spent lots of time on the front porch listening to bag pipes playing in the distance. It was so magical and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again! The location is great too because we were right between Boone and Banner Elk.
