My wife and I stayed four nights, so we could ski three days at Beech Mountain; we really enjoyed our stay. The convenience to Beech Mountain skiing was a two minute drive to the resort parking lot.

Nice place, privacy concerns

I originally booked this condo to visit my son the first weekend in October. Hurricane Helene had other plans. Since this unit is booked through Vacasa, they gave me the option of rebooking at a later date so our actual trip was the last weekend of October. The actual condo was very nicely decorated and very clean. The electric fireplace was nice and having a balcony was wonderful. The photos showed the building and focused on the top floor so I thought that's where we were. Wrong, the condo is on the bottom level. My elderly mother who has bad knees and walks with a cane had to maneuver 2 steep flights of stairs. I felt awful. Next, along with the noise decibel monitors that are mentioned in the listing, the unit does not have a window covering for the door. The entire space can be see through that window. We didn't like that however, we didn't harp on that fact either until the 2nd day we were there and realized there is a camera on the pole opposite the door and it is tilted and pointing right at the door. I would like to think that this camera could not actually see inside the condo and was just pointed at the bottom of the door HOWEVER it was so creepy not knowing if we were being watched since, once again, the door window does not have any curtains to ensure privacy. We were 2 middle aged women and an elderly grandma sitting around feeling like big brother was all around us. It did not make for a relaxing evening. I would suggest curtains/blinds.

Great Getaway Spot!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo! The space was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for our family mountain vacation. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy for guests to cook meals if they desired (tho we enjoyed the many local restaurants) and the living room provided a cozy spot to relax after a day of exploring. We especially loved the balcony, where we enjoyed our mornings with a beautiful view of the wildlife. The location was convenient, close to local attractions and dining options. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommend and would love to stay here again!

Cozy beech condo

The condo was small, clean and very nice. Our family of four enjoyed the stay. Lots of stairs though, wasn’t a problem for us. I only wish there were more window coverings. We would stay again!

Cute little spot!

Overall the place was cute and pretty clean. It did smell like a dog when I first walked in, but to be fair it is a pet friendly place! Once I cooked dinner, the smell went away. The location was less than a 2 min drive to the ski resort, which was amazing! It is on the first floor, but the parking area is on the 3rd floor. Just fyi in case anyone has issues with walking down a couple flights of steps. Overall I would recommend this spot.

Nice getaway in Beech Mountain

Charming condo in Beech mountain in a quiet street. Amenities as described and most of all dog friendly. Close to Beech mountain resort and restaurants. Bring your own Keurig pods (not provided) or your own coffee maker and coffee supplies. Management replied quickly to a question. We had a great time.

Underdelivered

For the price we really expected more. First when we walked in we thought it was strange that the setup was different than photos with the TV being behind the couch instead of facing it, but then the TV ended up not working anyways. We messaged the Vacasa property manager and never heard back. We came here for a ski weekend but it rained the whole time we were there and it was unseasonably warm, so the TV would have at least kept us entertained. Then one night we heard water running while we were laying in bed.. turns out the upstairs neighbors shower water was leaking from the ceiling pouring into the bathtub. We again messaged Will from Vacasa and got no response. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable and felt like the frame was going to bust apart with any slight movement. There were pillows laid out without pillowcases on them, and the duvet didn’t have a cover either. We appreciated finding somewhere pet friendly, but note there isn’t really any grass or place to walk a dog nearby. It also wasn’t very clean before we arrived. The remote was covered in oil and there was hair all over the coffee table. It was cute, but I feel Vacasa failed the owners at managing the property well and for the money I wish we would have stayed elsewhere.

Family snowboarding getaway

Overall place and the area is beautiful and despite the warm winter weather on Friday it snowed on us so they got a great day snowboarding and then Saturday was just right temperatures to have a second day of snowboarding before our son left for his mini deployment. he’s in the Marines. only thing thing that I would say is please give instructions on how to work the oven but all in all we made everything work wonderful. We love beech mountain and would stay again.

Cute Condo walking distance to lifts

This is such a cute bottom floor condo! Parking is nearby. Walking distance to lifts and nearby coffee shop. Only drawback was ventilation (musty smell) inside condo because no a/c or vent fan in bathroom. Bathroom with mold above shower head which smells once shower is used.

Survived

We literally just survived, and without much sleep. You can hear people above you walking at all times and unfortunately the people above us were up til all hours of the night. No window in master, so coupled with no AC & hot water heater in the closet, it is very hot in there! There were no sheets on top bunk upon arrival, there was black dog hair all over the top sheet in master bed (probably from not washing the comforter?!) - we contacted Vacasa about some of our issues and their exact response about the dog hair was “I am really sorry about it. You could remove the sheets or either shake it off or wash it or change to a different sheet.” There were no other sheets that size and washing and waiting for wash and dry cycle when we were ready for bed wasn’t a feasible option. We rolled up the top sheet with the comforter and got two twin top sheets to use instead. There were other issues as well: dusty surfaces, mold in bathroom all over ceiling over shower - no ventilation/fan, the floors were sticky, cooking utensils majorly lacking - no whisk, large spoons, pasta spoon, one large metal spatula, etc., lots of crumbs and grime in drawers and cabinets. The tub wouldn’t drain when showering until my husband unclogged it! Ew! There are holes in screens which is not okay at all when the only relief from the summer heat is opening the doors and windows. But the biggest problem is NO WHERE was it listed that you have to climb down two flights of stairs outside to get to the unit!! My husband has bad knees and this is going to take some time to heal after the four days and nights of up and down with the stairs. I really wish we would have known about the stairs!!

It DOES get HOT in Beech My

No A/C so be prepared for that! Yes, it was hot enough for it while we were there! Would have been PERFECT with A/C. Still, three fans were provided. Trash disposal was confusing. Never found the clubhouse noted in the instructions notebook. Adorable decor and so convenient to town center and ski slopes!
