We were so excited to stay at Black Knight cabin & really wanted to be able to leave a flawless review. Unfortunately, when we arrived they told us the heating wasn't working and they were fixing it after our 4 day stay. It would later reach 32 degrees multiple nights that weekend. The inside of the cabin was COLD. They brought us a large space heater, which immediately blew the circuit breaker so they asked us to only use small heaters which did not bring the internal temp to anywhere close to comfortable. Even though the cabin is beautiful, we really couldn't spend much time inside unless we were under blankets. Additionally, the main bed really seems to be a Full size, even though they advertise it as a Queen (it was definitely a tighter fit than our Queen at home). Also, a small thing, but the firepit didn't work. They sent someone to fix it & he tried his hardest, but he wasn't able to get it working. We had really hoped for a couple nights around the fire under the stars. Communication with the host was a bit of a struggle prior to our stay--most messages required a second or third message before they would respond. While we were there they were quite good at responding, but unfortunately they were not able to fix the heat or firepit issue despite the freezing nights. It's a beautiful neighborhood, but I think the management company isn't great at managing it, even though their staff seems very nice.
