We have been using VRBO for over 30 years and never once did we encounter the problems we did in his house and the management. Our first clue should have been that we were not given the correct code to unlock the door to gain entry. We soon discovered the disposal did not work, the washing machine would only work on hot water which took a week to fix and there wasn't a screen on the glass sliding door in the dining room. The final blow was the refrigerator and deep freeze went out spoiling all the food. We decided we needed to leave as their repairs were never attended to quickly and we needed a place to keep food from spoiling. The management refused to compensate us for the time remaining on our stay or compensation for lost food. In our early dealing with them which was by text they said VRBO was involved and they would check with them and they refused to accept our phone calls. Finally VRBO told us that they would not make any compensation for our loss.
