This is a lovely house in Blowing Rock. It is 0.4 miles from Main Street. There are back streets to access Main Street from the house. It is quiet for the most part. Sometimes there is traffic from the highway but it is minimal and short-lived. There is also a day care center nearby but again, short amount of time you may hear the children playing. Inside the home is well made, nice bathrooms,comfortable beds and furniture. It is relatively new so that makes it extra nice! There is a enclosed outdoor patio that is extra lovely and extends the space of the house very nicely. Don't be alarmed by the location initially, it is all good. Just kinda odd at first, then you settle in. We loved our 2 week stay and when we come back to Blowing Rock this is the place we will stay!

60th birthday celebration

Met some family in blowing rock to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. Went on some awesome hikes with the dogs, had some fabulous lunches and dinner at Gideons ridge the final night. We hosted dinner one night and found the house is stocked well enough except for some additional wine glasses and some serving platters. But we made do. Home is tucked in a commercial Setting but very quiet and the house is lovely. Easy walk into town from the back side.

Loved this house!

We had such a nice long weekend in Blowing Rock. We were in walking distance to many restaurants and downtown. The house was super clean, beds were comfy and the hot tub was perfect for chilly mornings and evenings. Would definitely recommend.

The weather was all I had hoped it would be. It’s great to have a place to escape the August heat. The house was equipped with the usual items. We were able to have meals there as we wanted. The location was somewhat peculiar, but it was private and quiet.

You'll Be Pleasantly Surprised

The beginning of this review is going to appear as if it's negative, hang in there with me because it's not. We rented this to take our 4 year old Grandson out of town for a couple of days. Driving there, using GPS, we passed it a couple of times. It is nestled at the back of a Bank parking lot, between a mini-storage facilities, an abandoned motel, a quonset hut and an embankment. We both looked at each other as if what?! Driving around back, we discovered a secluded driveway and entryway with a nice, small backyard with a fire pit. Inside was a VERY well done, 2 bedroom, 2 bath house. Everything you could ask for. Out the side french doors, is a nice, private side porch with hot tub, corn hole and TV. The kitchen was very well equipped. Comfortable beds and nicely done bathrooms. Although you are somewhat close to Valley Blvd/HWY 321, there was absolutely NO traffic noise. Walking to downtown was not an issue and quite honestly, just the right distance to walk off dinner. If you are not in the mood for downtown, Twigs Restaurant, Mexican Rock and Myers Kitchen/Fable Pizza are right there. Very interesting rental and well done. Enjoyed our stay!

Great spot!

This was the perfect place for a getaway with friends. The house was clean, well furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed. We really loved the hot tub. I would stay here again- close to everything.

Enjoyed the visit.

This was a "last minute" idea to drive up to Blowing Rock for a few days. We also wanted to try and bring our pet dog, so was optimistic that we could find something. The "Spring House" isxa very unique and well equipped rental. If your looking for mountain views, this is not your place. If your looking for a great location to act as "homebase" as you explore the many things the area offers, this is your place. Don't be afraid of the location, it is a bit odd but it worked for us perfectly. The house is beautifully refurbished and has many nice amenities. It is definitely pet friendly and worked out very well. Would definitely return.

Peaceful stay in a luxuriously renovated location

The pictures and description do not do this property justice! I booked a two week stay with 3 adults and our pups (the property manager very generously worked with us to accommodate our small dogs). Don’t let the location fool you. This was one of the most quiet rentals I have ever stayed at, perfect for a peaceful stay! The location was absolutely perfect for our needs — far removed from the main road but a quick walk to all of the restaurants and parks. The house itself is beautiful. You can tell someone with a great eye and skilled hand has lovingly renovated the space. I would recommend that the cleaning staff leave additional towels for use for the hot tub (and trust me, you WILL want to use this hot tub!), but otherwise the property was meticulously maintained and sparklingly clean. The rental is a bargain for what you get. It felt more like an upscale mountain resort than an industrial-building-turned-rental. If you’re bringing dogs, make sure to bring extra blankets to fully cover any furniture they might be on. We plan to return to this luxurious and quiet home soon!

Great house! Weird location, but it works!

House is clean, modern, and in walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock shops and restaurants. Convenient to the Blowing Rock. The actual location however is near a self storage lot and bank. But it’s quiet and dog friendly. We had a great time exploring the town and hiking spots nearby. Great views at The Blowing Rock,

Great House for the Price

This was a great house to stay in. My wife and I stayed for a weekend get away without the kids and this property was great! It was in a good location and convenient to both Blowing Rock and Boone. The house was very clean and the outdoor space was perfect! As the house sits beside a storage unit facility and behind a bank, it was very secluded. The only issue we even noticed was the mattress on the bed was pretty hard which was understandable as the property is so new. Softer beds would be nice though. We also understand this is a preference thing. All in all, great property and would definitely stay again.

Great small house with a ton of amenities

Huge kitchen for size of house. Plenty of seating area. Outdoor spaces stole the show. Definitely great to have the covered patio as well as the fire pit in the yard. Beds were extremely comfortable and bathrooms very nice. Only downside, and very small downside, was the location of the house.

Beautiful home in Blowing Rock, NC! If you want quiet, brand new place and close to downtown BR this is your place! We had a wonderful weekend for 40th anniversary. We highly recommend this new home that has industrial/mountain feel to it!
