Our recent stay offered a truly mixed experience, with some standout positives alongside a couple of significant issues that I feel I should mention.The location was absolutely ideal. We loved how convenient it was to everything. The outside of the premises was very attractive and clearly well-maintained. We also greatly appreciated the thoughtful coffee setup. As pet owners, we were also very grateful that we could bring our small dog. However, our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by a pervasive and very unpleasant moldy/mildewy smell within the unit. It seemed to be coming from from behind some paneling, suggesting water damage. This was a real shame, as it detracted significantly from an otherwise charming space. We felt the owner needs to remove that paneling and properly treat the wall to address the source of the problem. In fact, the smell was so strong that we had to make a trip to Dollar General to purchase spray Lysol just to try and make the air more tolerable. Additionally, we noticed the curtains were a little dirty and discolored. This is an easy fix – a simple wash would make a huge difference in the overall appearance and freshness of the room. We honestly believe that if the mold issue were properly remediated and the curtains given a good clean, this would be a great vacation rental. We would definitely consider staying in this building again if we knew those things had been corrected, as the location and many other aspects were so appealing.
