The cabin was cute & clean. When we arrived, the AC was buzzing loudly & one of the pulls for a fan was missing in the upstairs loft, so it could not be adjusted. Maintenance was called but couldn't do anything to the AC, & we were told that they would have to call an electrician to address the fan issue. The loft was hot, & the only way to make that better was to turn the AC very low, which made the upstairs bedroom extremely cold. The two sleeping in that room froze. Thankfully, the buzzing stopped on its own. The next morning, at about 5:30am, the fire alarm went off. There was a locked plastic box around the alarm, so we were unable to turn it off. We called the desk, & they said they would send someone. 30-45 minutes later- no one had arrived, so we called again (alarm still blaring). We were told to call 911 as the fire department would need to turn it off. They arrived quickly, checked everything out, & turned it off. They then stated that this happens all of the time at the cabins & they had asked them to take care of the problem. Maintenance arrived maybe an hour later. He said that the reason for alarm was that we had unplugged the phone the night before to charge our cell phones. That would've been good info. to have. I called the desk that morning to see if we could switch cabins. None were available. They said they would check other lodging and call. We never heard from them. I feel they should have at least offered a reimbursement as we got little sleep.
