« We really liked the character of the hotel. Our room was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, it felt very relaxed to be there. We ate at Montey's Bar (16 of us). They took very good care of us and everyone enjoyed their food. Great breakfast too. We would happily book again. »

« The staff were perfect; so lovely and friendly. The food and drinks were incredible. But...the building is tired. The decor needs a revamp and the fixtures and fittings are in need of modernising. It's a real shame, because the staff are doing so much right, but the building itself needs a lot of investment. »

« Location is the best asset. Bedroom was fine but very little character and located on the ground floor we could hear some AC noise right outside our window with no view. Breakfast was gorgeous with plenty of choice and service was mainly done by youngsters on training trying their very best. Worst experience was dinner especially puddings. « Beautiful setting on edge of New Forest and still handy for a 15 min walk to local shops. A few minutes stroll and you are on to the forest routes and with the wild ponies. « To be honest I should have booked directly with Carey’s Manor. Probably my fault but I did not realise that I was booking only a room for my husband and I, no breakfast! Things have changed now one has to pay for a cooked breakfast and with you also the continental one! Carey’s Manor were very understanding and gave us complimentary continental breakfasts. « I had stayed at this hotel before and it was so good this was a last minute return trip. Set in the middle of the forest you wake up to the animals trotting past the hotel. The staff are lovely. There is a small pool so take your costume. This will not be our last trip. »
