Amazing location. We’ve stayed multiple times for our annual girls trip and it’s the perfect location. Beautiful setting close to lots of things. We hoped in the river and floated right by the dock.

Amazing Property

The pictures do not do this charming property justice. It is right on the river with its own little dock. It is so relaxing and the views are stunning.We have stayed at a lot of properties and this is the cleanest by far! We can't wait to stay again this summer!

Best Girls Weekend Ever!

This property was magical. It was tucked away in trees and greenery, with deer, fox and bunnies roaming around. At night we got a beautiful show from the lighting bugs. The dock on the river was nice to tie up our tubes and relax, listening to the birds chirp. It was truly such a peaceful environment. The inside of the house was decorated so nice and was very roomy. We had 7 girls and we all had plenty of room. Saturday night we went to a concert at White Water and then headed to downtown NB for a night cap. Sunday we had brunch and went shopping before headed home. We will be back again, very soon.

Nice getaway

This home is well kept, nicely decorated, and has a good variety of kitchen essentials. It was nice to sit on the screened in porch to watch deer pass by in the day and fireflies light up the night. The wooded river view is beautiful. The owner is great, too! We really enjoyed our stay.

Summer Getaway with the family

Absolutely beautiful property with spacious, shady backyard that leads directly down to the water. There is a nice sitting area, pier to easily access the River for swimming, kayaking, etc. Very quiet area of the river. If you want to toob and be a part of the party scene, there are several outfitters very nearby. Several great dive bars nearby as well. We had five people in our traveling party and we had plenty of room to sleep, hangout, eat, etc…The screened patio is awesome! We had our morning coffee on the patio and watched several deer roam through the yard - so peaceful! The property is very clean and has everything you need including cookware, TV, WiFi, laundry room, etc…Property management is very kind and quick to respond. This is our second time to stay here and it won’t be our last!

Nice older home

I had a hard time getting a hold of the property manager before our stay. All instructions were incorrect about how to check in and WiFi password. We thankfully were able to get a hold of her when we got there so we were able to get in after realizing the code we had was wrong. It was overpriced and had no toiletries. I figure that the price was due to a concert at whitewater amphitheater. It was very peaceful and nice in the mornings. I just feel that the property manager lacks understanding of customer service and guest experience. In this situation you don’t get what you paid for.

comfortable and quiet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quiet neighborhood. The backyard is lovely for relaxing by the river. (It might be a bit of a challenge to get down the slope for anyone with mobility issues.) The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Our only disappointment is that there was only one float available for playing on the river - a couple of paddle boards or kayaks would be a great addition to this property! We drove to Canyon Lake every day to swim since the river water is so cold and these were not an option, otherwise we might not have left the house during our stay.

Relaxing weekend on the river

We had a great stay at the Fox Den River House. It was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of space for both adults and kiddos to play. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, so we stayed in and enjoyed quiet mornings with the deer. Our days were spent relaxing by the cool, beautiful blue-green Guadalupe, waving at the occasional tubers and listening to a red-tailed hawk who we think nested nearby. Highly recommend the Canyon Lake Gorge hike if you're in the area too!

Great location and very comfortable

This was our first VRBO stay and we were not disappointed. The neighborhood was awesome. Lots of deer watching and it was so great staying on the river. It was close to many water activities as well. Overall just a great place to stay.

Perfect getaway

Very clean and beautiful location. Deer roaming the huge backyard that will get very close. Neighbors are very friendly and threw out some corn so our 2 year old could see the deer within 10ft. The dock is very peaceful and a wonderful place to hang out in the water. 100% recommend and will be staying there again.

Quiet riverfront home

Quiet and comfortable home. Beautiful river view and access from house. Delightful swing under tall shade trees. Peaceful setting to sit on the screened in porch and watch the wildlife roaming through the back yard. Furnishings and bed were comfortable. Large variety of appliances and cookware. Bring your favorite coffee to enjoy in the big coffee mugs! Great for a quiet weekend getaway.

Love this place

This was the second time for my cousins and me to stay here for a girls weekend and to see a show at Whitewater Amphitheater. It's a great place with everything needed for a short or lengthy stay. There is plenty of inside and outdoor seating, and a private dock right on the river. Great amenities including washer/dryer and icemaker. The kitchen is full of dishes, glasses, pots and pans, etc. It's not too far to Whitewater to walk but we didn't want to walk back in the dark so we drove, but if you're braver than the four of us middle-aged women, you could do it. Lol

Weekend Getaway

Overall the property was great! However, we received a text at 8:30 p.m. while we were already at the location telling us the pull out couch was broken. We were provided with a small air up mattress but one of us still had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch. We understand things happen. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay and would do it again.

Long Weekend Getaway

A perfect spot to have an isolated 3-day weekend of fishing, relaxing and corn hole. Beautiful property and just right for our family of three. Good location for hiking. Bare Bull BBQ was a nice find for take out. Highly recommend this property.

Great house in a great location

This is a very nice house that is well maintained. It has two bedrooms - one with a king size bed and one with bunk beds. The kitchen and living room are between the bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, etc., as well as an ice maker in the freezer. I did submit a question and did not receive a response. I'll post here so others will know. I asked what kind of coffee maker is in the kitchen - - it's a drip coffee maker. There are filters in one cabinet so just bring your own coffee for a drip-type machine. The house details say there is a DVD player so we brought some DVDs, but we could not find a DVD player anywhere. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. This house is right on the river. There is a nice view from the back porch areas and you just walk down the back yard right to the water. There's a floating dock with chairs on it and more chairs in the laundry room along with a tube. Very fun time with my cousins!
