„The cabin’s interior was clean and tidy, with eclectic decor and a working pinball machine (so fun!). There is central air that works very well and stands up to that southern Illinois humidity. The shower was perfect for my 6’5 husband and had great water pressure. You’re surrounded by deep woods but only a few minutes outside of Carbondale, a short drive to Giant City, and all of the other great places in the area. Negatives: I'm short and had a hard time reaching things, so I had to buy a stool (that's a me problem, I realize). The wi-fi never worked so I had to rely on mobile data (TV streamed through satellite so that was fine). Dealt with a lot of spiders and flies. Didn't try the hot tub because two wasps were hanging around ...
