This was an absolute dream experience! From checking in to checking out, everything was ready for us and I had absolutely nothing to worry about except relaxing. The house has a great layout that really allows you to soak up the beauty of the wilderness while still being completely private. The hot tub was easy to use and the kitchen perfectly stocked for cooking in. My only regret was not staying longer.

Great Location

Great home in the heart of the Columbia Gorge. Convenient to the best hikes, waterfalls, and sights in Cascade Locks. 30 minutes to shopping and eats in Hood River or the Portland outskirts. Home is very clean and in a safe neighborhood with plenty of privacy.

Modern Luxury

I stayed in Cascade Locks with two girlfriends as a base to explore the Columbia Gorge area. Ivonne's place could not have been more welcoming! It is full of light, absolutely spotless, and has a gorgeous view of the mountains with a peaceful backyard. You can tell there was a lot of thought given to each room. The home is perfectly situated to explore the beautiful waterfall hikes, the fruit loop and kayaking along the Columbia River. I most definitely will be back and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

PNW Wedding Stay

Hummingbird Hill was perfect for two couples! The house was well appointed with many coffee perks, robes, slippers and blankets. Various outdoor seating areas to enjoy a morning coffee, afternoon espresso or evening glass of wine. We wish we would have had more time and could have used the fireplaces. The hottub was clean and a welcome relax after a day of adventure. The only thing that could improve is better mirrors (no mirror to get ready in the 2nd bath and no full length mirror). The house also echos so if you are an early riser it is easy to wake up the whole house. All in all an excellent house! Would definitely stay here again!

great getaway

Wonderful house, very clean and inviting. Especially enjoyed hot tub! The location is near all the waterfalls on historic highway 30. Sternwheeler ferry right in town. Was a great getaway for us!

Lovely home in a great location

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The home itself is beautiful -- as is everything in it. The location on the edge of town is nice. It feels very secluded, yet you can walk to town. Win win! There is a bit of highway noise, but with the way the house is sited, you don't notice it much from the backyard. We saw a doe and baby deer in the yard one morning, and liked that we could walk to one of the trails. The cottage also is in a good location as a home base for other activities in the gorge. Ivonne is a thoughtful, responsive host. Thank you! If you like wine, do a tasting at AniChe. The view is stunning, and the wine is good, too. We enjoyed that a lot -- even more than our tasting at a better-known vineyard in the Willamette Valley.

Wonderful!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house is exactly as pictured, and was spotless and very comfortable. We stayed mid July, and while there were some pretty hot days that week- it was so pleasant to come back to a comfortable and cool home- the AC was perfect. We thought the location was perfect for us- we did the bike the gorge e-bike tour, kayaked trillium lake, Bonneville dam and the fish hatchery. There was so much still to do- and we will be back. I would definitely stay here again. Host gave perfect instructions and had excellent communication.

The home is gorgeous, beautifully appointed, and perfectly located for a visit to Cascade Locks. We stayed for our daughter's wedding. It was lovely to have downtime in the house nestled in the woods, but we could easily walk to the wedding venue and the hotel where our friends and family were staying - in central Cascade Locks - in less than 5 minutes. The property manager was extremely responsive, including accommodating a late checkout when we had an illness in the family. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay.

Absolutely amazing. The house is the perfect place for a vacation in the Gorge. It has all the amenities you need for relaxation and fun, especially the view from the back patio. Our host Ivonne was responsive to all of our questions and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Fantastic

I cannot say enough good things about this rental. Owners were so communicative and accommodating. The home was meticulously cleaned and stocked for renters. The location is great with all of the empty lots next to the home. It feels private, but super easy to access the bridge and small town. We would definitely consider coming back to this home!

Perfect Location! Perfect Rental!

We were looking for a fairly central location for day trips around the Columbia Gorge. This property delivered! Granted the town of Cascade Locks is tiny and sleepy, but in terms of central location, it was perfect. Easy day trips to the coast, Mt. Hood, Hood River and wineries, and the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge waterfalls and hikes. This property was absolutely spotless, filled with every amenity you could need or want - right down to the bath soaps, robes and slippers. The owner operates the property strictly as a vacation rental, so it is turned over between guests similar to a high end hotel. The decor is beautiful (I’m in love with the artwork) and the furnishings and beds very comfortable. The kitchen is outfitted with high end cookware and there is a sparkling clean hot tub on the back deck that looks into the forest. We enjoyed it so much there that we added an extra night. The owner is responsive and accommodating, and I have recommended my friends to book this property on their next trip to Oregon. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Beautiful location, beautiful home!

Enjoyed our stay immensely! This home was as pictured and absolutely beautiful. Loved all the indoor and outdoor spaces. It was very clean and well apportioned. Ivonne was very helpful and responsive. Don't forget to check out the hike to Dry Creek Falls from the PCT trailhead on the drive up to the house. We walked down to the trail and did the 5mi round trip hike. It's absolutely beautiful! Also not a bad walk down the hill to the Thunder Island Brewery and other restaurants in Cascade Locks. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

This property is beautiful inside and out! Attention to detail is an understatement from the style of furniture to the various outdoor spaces to hangout. The house is well equipped and the hosts couldn’t be any more helpful or accommodating! Highly recommend!

Perfect spot to explore the gorge

Our stay at Hummingbird was wonderful. Everything we expected and then some. Everything is top notch and clean, clean, clean! The Curious Gorge guide book is a great hiking reference. You can hear the freeway with the windows open-but when they are closed it is perfectly quiet. Tons of different birds in the backyard. Exceptional hosts-we felt special when we arrived.
