„This was such a find! Stayed one night with friends in a private room while we hiked in the Brecon Beacons and it was perfect for what we needed. Perks included - plenty of drying rooms (it rained the whole time we were there so this was very much needed!), restaurant and bar, cosy lounge with fire and board games, and a sink in the room. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and great location. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come back.“

„Wasnt clear how to check in, but rung in the morning and was advised to call to pub for room card.
The room was very clean, and well presented. Can see they are looked after. Nice walk in shower with 2 separate heads.
Plenty of storage for clothes etc.
Bed was very comfortable and made for a great night sleep.
The food served at the Pen Y Cae was amazing and all the staff we encountered throughout our stay were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much bother for them. “

Llangoed Hall was far and away the best - not just during this trip, but any of the trips I have been on in recent years. The level of comfort and service was outstanding, and both the hotel and the area it is in are beautiful. If I am back in Wales, I would return to Llangoed Hall in a heartbeat.“
„Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks.
Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring.

„I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). “
