A Family Gathering

The house was wonderful....very spacious....kitchen was very well-stocked. Two favorite features of the house were the hot tub ( enjoyed by the teens) and the ping pong table ( enjoyed by all!). We had a very enjoyable weekend!

Lovely oasis

Our stay was very nice… Lots of room for everyone and very spacious. The view was amazing… we rented a tritoon boat that was brought to our dock. The pool and jacuzzi were put to good use. The outside kitchen area was well equipped and we enjoyed a fire pit down by the lake. The Weber grill igniter was not working properly but we lit it ourselves.We couldn’t get in the front door at first but were able to get help immediately due to the wrong code that was given to us. The outdoor screen porch area was lovely with the fireplace but needed to be cleaned under the couch. Overall our stay and the communication with the property management company was great. One observation…for larger parties a larger couch in the main TV area would be nice. Thank you for helping to make our family weekend a memorable experience.

Best trip!!

We had the best time at this property for my husband’s 40th birthday! We had a total of 4 families (adults and small children) staying and we all had room to spread out and had plenty to do. We loved the pool and dock as well as the outdoor kitchen and big screened-in porch with comfy furniture and TV. Everything was just like the pictures but somehow even better when you’re in the space. It really is a large property with a lot of lake frontage and great amenities. There were lots of supplies (bath towels, beach towels, plates, good selection of spices, lots of different kitchen equipment and storage containers, etc.). The management company was also very responsive when we had questions. If you can splurge, I’d highly recommend renting a boat during your stay. Lake Effects dropped off and picked up a pontoon boat and having that was really the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!!

What a fabulous vacation home!

This property was perfect for our large family. Plenty of room to spread out. We loved the pool, the outdoor kitchen, the screened in porch, the location on the lake. The kids were able to fish off the dock and kayak and paddleboard. Nice sized pool. We have already booked for next year!

Beautiful property for fun family time

This home was wonderful. We had a party of 10 and there was more than enough space for everyone. The house is very well kept and feels very cozy. Pool, hot tub and grill were great. We rented a pontoon boat which was dropped off to the dock. The lake itself is pristine and within distance to multiple restaurants by boat. Overall we had a great experience at this property. Our only suggestion is to have some sort of hand rail from the driveway down to the dock, as it was steep for our older family members.

The house both inside and out was fantastic. The online listing is a very accurate representation of what you will experience while staying there. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to have a lakefront trip of any sort.

Would have been amazing

We booked this trip for extended family to meet from across the country to celebrate my in-laws' 50th anniversary. The property itself is beautiful and the outdoor spaces are just as impressive as pictured. We spent much of our time in the pool, paddleboarding, kayaking, and relaxing in the outdoor lounge areas. There were small amenities like extra sunscreen, games, pickleball paddles, and kitchen items that were thoughtful and helpful during the week. I would suggest getting some window treatments for the upstairs loft and downstairs bunkroom, as we had kids in both of those rooms and the light came through very early with no blinds or curtains. Truly, our only issues during the week were with the property management company. While quick to respond, our property manager was not particularly helpful in fixing items that we mentioned during the week. We had some housekeeping items that were not addressed and were told "Oh, that fan is too ornate to clean properly and the spider webs on the porch are the exterminator's problem." Six of our guests were missing bath towels the first night and we had to personally handle the receipt of a new refrigerator delivery because the downstairs one was broken when we arrived. While each small on its own, the combination of these issues complicated our relaxing vacation week. As a side note, we had a boat and jet ski rental delivered from Lake Effects during the week and it was a seamless and efficient process. Highly recommend.

Perfect location, lovely home!

Our family enjoyed this home immensely! We had all the amenities we needed for a family get together. Proximity to the airport was a plus. Property Management was super responsive to questions, everything was perfect!

Wonderful vacation home, especially for a large group!

My entire family had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home for almost a week. 12 of us celebrated Thanksgiving there together. Even though it was cold, we enjoyed the outdoor hot tub every day, and a few of us used the kayaks and paddle board. The house was beautiful, comfortable, we had plenty of room to spread out in the house and on the property, everyone had their own bed and space, no one felt crammed ever. The drive out to the property is beautiful, the neighborhood is nice, quiet and felt very safe. We saw deer walking through the neighborhood daily and took several walks. The house was very well stocked with kitchen supplies, laundry supplies, toiletries, and even tons of lake and pool toys. We all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home to others!!

Friends Lake Norman Getaway

This was our first time at this location, but our sixth time staying on Lake Norman. The house was very well stocked and nicely updated. We really enjoyed the pool and out door kitchen. We would definitely consider vacationing here again.

Family Reunion

The Oasis at Ballycastle was our beautiful home fir a week for eight adults and seven children. There was plenty of room for everyone. Having the pool was great and we rented a boat from Lake Effects for the week. It was a dream vacation come true!

Love Lake Norman

Lake Norman is absolutely amazing!! And to be able to rent this beautiful house in a quiet cove was unbelievable! This house had plenty of room for our group of 10 with 5 beds to spare. Bedding was comfortable & clean, bathrooms were plentiful which meant no waiting, kitchen was spacious but lacked pots & pans (which were brought over by the management company & more arrived from the owner), the loft area was perfect for the teen girls to hang out in & the boys loved the Foosball table & large TV in the basement. The outside areas just complimented the house...from the pool to the outside kitchen to the outside TV which movies were watched almost every night to the amazing sunsets!! Would definitely rent a boat especially in the summer months because that heat can be killer. We all had an amazing trip to Lake Norman & a great stay & Oasis at Ballycastle!! We all highly recommend this place!

Great outdoor space

The outdoor space was amazing and great breeze in the pavilion. We like to do puzzles and having a second dining table to do those at was great. And we were able to dock our boat. Family of 10 adults with plenty of room to stretch out around the property.

Better than we imagined!

Our family stayed at this beautiful property and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. It was even better than it looks in the pictures. We brought our own boat and parked it at the dock at the house which was very convenient! The pool was great too. We fished and tubed on the lake, escaped an escape room, and found some gems at Emerald Hollow Gem Mine. Overall, our family has decided that we like the lake vacation better than the beach!!
