Like all of our Wauhatchie Woodlands rentals, the Pool House Group is the perfect mountain getaway. This listing includes all three full-sized homes at Wauhatchie Woodlands for up to 28 guests! May Family Home, Blue House, and Skyuka Chalet feature a shared heated pool, swim spa, sauna, hot tubs, and game room. Surrounded by National Forest, just 5 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Perfect for multi-family reunions seeking forest charm with resort-style amenities.



The Space:

Please note: Pets are not allowed at this property. Please ask about our pet-friendly properties if you want to travel with a pet.



The Chalet features a wrap-around deck with a private hot tub and can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. The compound features a resort-style pool and patio with a fire pit and outdoor dining area.



Please note that we are not an event space, and parties are not allowed.

This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.



Our custom-designed Chalet combines imagination, modernity, and a woodsy rustic feel that organically compliments the natural setting.



The Chalet is reached via Trammell Lane, where you'll find two private parking spaces.



On the ground level you'll find your lower deck with a private hot tub. Upstairs, the great room features an open floor plan with vaulted all-wood ceilings and dynamic lighting. The space included a full-service kitchen, dining area, sofas, and a Smart TV. The main bedroom with direct access to the bathroom is just off the great room.



A spiral staircase leads up to the unique lookout loft furnished with bunk beds, a striking surround of high windows, and a crown vaulted ceiling.



The "cubby nook" features a double bed and Smart TV. Please note the nook has a low ceiling and might be too cramped for an adult to sleep, but the space is perfect for kids.



The main deck wraps around the entire home, offering views over the pool, forest, and river. The large back deck features an outdoor dining area with seating for six and deep seating for relaxing.



The Chalet is in a compound with two other homes, the May Family Home and the Blue House. The homes share a stunning, heated resort-style pool with an expansive flagstone patio. On the patio, you'll find lounge seating, an outdoor fireplace, and an outdoor kitchen with a covered dining pavilion.



The pool is closed during winter, typically from October to March.



The ground floor of the Chalet serves as the pool house for all three properties. Guests have access to a shared washer and dryer, a workout room, poolside showers, and toilets.



Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

Sprout General Store recently opened on the Wauhatchie Woodlands grounds. Grab a coffee (fueled by Roasted Root Cafe) to start your morning, treat yourself to ice cream, pick up a map with activity ideas, and browse Timberroot merch and local goods—everything you need is within just steps of your cabin.



To make sure your stay at our Pool Homes is perfect, our locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week.



Guest Access:

All of our units are equipped with keyless entry systems that make check-in and check-out a fully automated process. Full instructions will be provided prior to your check-in date.

The Neighborhood:

This unit sits in Lookout Valley at the foot of Lookout Mountain, minutes from downtown Chattanooga. You're surrounded by National Forest with trail access from the property, while restaurants, shops, and Chattanooga's riverfront are a short drive away. The best of both worlds: nature at your doorstep, city within reach. Wauhatchie Woodlands sits on 14 acres surrounded by National Forest. Explore trails across the property, gather at shared pavilions and community fire pits, or let the kids loose on the playground. You might even spot one of our farm animals during your stay!



Fall is a full season in Lookout Valley. September brings Ironman Chattanooga through downtown, five minutes away, and Rock City opens its Enchanted Pumpkin Patch up the mountain from September 18 through October 31. Mid-October through early November is peak leaf season here, with the valley's pastures and foothills making for an easy scenic drive. Downtown fills up too, with Wine Over Water at Renaissance Park on October 10, World of Bluegrass October 20–24, and Head of the Hooch at Ross's Landing the first weekend of November, one of the largest rowing regattas in the country. Wauhatchie Woodlands keeps you close to all of the autumn action.



Getting Around:

To make the most of your stay, we recommend a car to get around. Each of our tiny cabins can accommodate two cars in private driveways.



UBER and Lyft are available throughout the Chattanooga area, in addition to a number of local taxi services. Please note that availability may be extremely limited during peak times.



The city of Chattanooga offers reasonably priced parking on the street and in several public parking lots.



A free electric shuttle bus runs between the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium with stops at every block. The buses run every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Bus schedules may vary, please consult the Chattanooga Area Regional Transit Authority website for the most up to date schedules.



Bike Chattanooga offers bike share rentals at 42 self-service kiosk locations all around downtown Chattanooga. With over 300 bicycles and 50 e-bikes this is a great way to explore the city. Visit Bike Chattanooga’s website to learn more.

Pool:



Please note the pool is closed during the winter months, typically from mid-October until April.



Pet Policy:



Pets are not allowed at this property. If you want to travel with a pet please ask about our pet-friendly properties. Any evidence of a pet being on this property during your stay will result in a minimum $100 fine.



Trains & Noise:

No Smoking:



Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes is prohibited inside Timberroot properties.

Refer to the rental agreement to see these policies and the additional fees that occur if you fail to follow them.



Pests:



We take great care to ensure our properties are free from pests. Our properties are regularly treated by professional pest control and our staff takes preventative measures to keep pests out.



However, as our properties are located in wooded areas, it is possible for guests to encounter insects and/or small woodland creatures like mice. If you do encounter an unwelcome pest inside your lodging, please contact our Guest Services team immediately so that our grounds team can address the problem as quickly as possible. We ask that guests help us prevent pests by keeping doors and window screens closed and maintaining proper cleanliness during their stay.



By booking with us, you accept that encountering insects and woodland creatures is a possibility and that no refunds will be issued for such instances.



Surveillance Cameras:



Please note that for your safety, each home may have a camera on the front porch or garage, facing outwards and monitoring activity in front of the home (including driveways and roads). In addition, there are cameras that monitor the pool deck.



Check-In/Out:



Check-in begins at 4:00 pm on the day of your arrival and check-out is at 10:00 am on your last day. Please contact Guest Services if you would like to request a different arrangement.
