  • Have been driving across the country for over a week now and managed to rest up a bit and visit downtown Chicago. Spent the day looking for this iconic piece and finally found it. The Chicago Theatre was built in 1921 and was originally named the Balaban and Katz Chicago Theatre. This building has become the unofficial landmark for Chicago representing the rich arts and music culture Chicago is known for. In 1979 the building was added to the list of historic buildings, and later in 1983 was added as an official landmark for the City of Chicago.

Very clean and as pictured in the listing. Well stocked linens. Comfy beds. Great location and easy to come and go. Host offered great communication. Lots of noise from upstairs rental unit, so pack a fan.

Excellent venue for family gathering with 4 couples (including a 2 year old). The single level apartment was ideal. Everyone gathered in the kitchen to snack on treats from Trader Joe; could sit down at the long table to eat, chat & play games. Perfect location to easily explore downtown Chicago with plenty to do in the near vicinity of the apartment.Really easy to communicate with owner; clear instructions on how to get into the apartment & where to park.Highly recommended.

Great property! Excellent neighborhood. We were able to cook multiple meals and enjoy the spacious kitchen and living room. Regarding noise, I think if someone sneezes on the street you can hear it. But because there aren’t a lot of restaurants and bars, it was overall quiet. The main source of noise is from the stairwell and upstairs. There were large gatherings and party people up and down the stairwell. Luckily, they all left early Sunday.

Loved the location but noisy in the summer

A lovely apartment with a really great location. The Olde Town area has a great vibe with walkable bars, restaurants, and grocery stores. Be prepared for lots of street noise on the weekends in the summer -- especially if staying with very young children. Its a short drive to most of the Chicago must see spots.

As advertised, Old Charming Town

The photos accurately capture the charm and size of the home. There is certainly plenty of room for 10 people. Communication and check in/out was a breeze. Highly recommend for infants under 2/in a crib. The area is tucked away in the back of the unit in a nook so it is very quiet and private. There’s also lots of toys/games for kids. There can be some street noise but there are lots of sound machines for use in the unit.

Family Birthday Celebration

The apartment was AMAZING! Even better than the photos. All the furnishings were of the finest quality, including the bed linens and towels. The mattresses were exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen was also well stocked with every type of culinary tool, plenty of glasses of every variety. We were a family of 13 and we had plenty of room. The bean bag chairs were a big hit for all ages. We loved the neighborhood. We have some members with food allergies and there were several places they could find something eat. All wished we had more time.

Charming accommodations in lovely neighborhood.

We stayed here for over a week during our daughter’s wedding and couldn’t have picked a better spot! The location in the heart of Old Town is fantastic. The high ceilings, beautiful decor, and well-equipped kitchen made it feel like home. The Wells Street location does come with some expected city noise, but the hosts thoughtfully provided white noise machines in each room, which helped a lot. Just a heads-up if you have older guests—the staircase to the flat is a bit steep. Overall, perfect accommodations in an amazing neighborhood!

Perfect City Apartment!

What a great apartment - well appointed and very clean. Had everything we needed to be comfortable - lots of space for our group of four adults and four kids. Sarah was wonderful to work with - very responsive and accommodating. The location is excellent! We walked lots of places and had easy access to the Red Line. Dom's Market was a quick walk down the street, and we stopped in each day for snacks, food for meals, and coffee. Had a great dinner at Happy Camper just a five minute walk away. And, of course, ice cream at Jeni's just a two-minute walk away. The apartment was great, and really made our trip so enjoyable. Comfortable beds were a plus! Thank you!

Perfect for a group of 5!

We had a fantastic stay at this property celebrating our 50th birthdays! Perfect amount of beds/space/bathrooms. Comfortable and modern. Beds were all very comfy. Chicago is a big city with big city noise and the rooms on the street side do hear noise, bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to city noise. One friend brought a noise machine and I think there was at least one provided (inquire if you are concerned). Host was very easy to communicate with during our stay, quick responses to our questions and helped us figure out parking down the street which is included with your stay. We made breakfast one morning and the kitchen was great. Location is safe with a variety of restaurants within walking distance, we used Uber/Lyft to get to other parts of town to avoid dealing with parking. Highly recommend going to Second City, and it's a quick walk to theater. Would definitely stay here again with a group this size. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Sarah was great to work with. There were some problems with our parking reservations and she worked with us to resolve them. She was accessible, personable and responsive when we needed assistance. The apartment was comfortable and well stocked with supplies to meet our needs.
