We understand that this property is recently come under new ownership, and my comments reflect the understanding that some improvements are on the to-do list.The property is nicely situated on a hilltop and catches lovely cooling breezes, there are great views of Buck Island and much of the East end coast.The house was a good fit for my family of 6 adults and 2 teenagers.On our first night, we found very low water pressure and no hot water. The morning revealed hot water pouring from the utility area and running down the driveway. My son turned off the hot water at the shut off and we called the maintenence person who came out right away. A new hot water tank was obtained and replaced that day. Very good service.That same morning we had also discovered a dead chicken floating in our pool. We removed that, but we were all hesitant to use the pool. Chicken soup? Bird flu? No thank you.The shower/ tub in the upstairs master bedroom only worked once. I was told you had to let the water run a whike before it made it to that line. I figured 10 minutes of trickling was time enough, so I got in line to use my kids' bathroom. Inconvenient, but not a deal breaker.The property needs some upkeep and renovation. The sliding doors in particular are worn or damaged.This was our 10th visit to St Croix and we are partial to the East End. Overall, the house was comfortable and suited our needs.
