Really enjoyed this loft. Many nice extrasâincluding a great shower. Additions might include:Batteries for the clocksOne more mirror somewhereBlinds or curtains for the high street side windows. Highly recommendedâexcellent communication from the managers.
The hosts were very accommodating. The apartment was in a quiet part of the town away from the hustle and bustle. It was a safe area across from the city police department. A nice bourbon bar was below the apartment with a welcoming staff.
We didn't try to watch TV until around 1 am the first night there and realized we wouldn't be able to. There was no TV remote, only an unhooked amazon firestick along with the remote. After hooking up and turning on tv with amazon remote, it was stuck on a setup option that required tv remote. This was very discouraging. I know it's only TV but what if I came to relax and only watch TV, that's my business. After calling customer service, I was told it was too late which I get. That someone would call me in the morning. That didn't happen. I had to call. Also had to wait 4 hours for it to be resolved. This hindered my trip as I didn't feel comfortable leaving my belongings with strangers in the room without me. Place is super nice though and felt very home-y. If you do not like street noise, bar/night club life noise, do not stay.
Wonderful place just above a business. It is perfect for a couple, but not a family. It had everything needed (kitchen, shower, queen size bed, couch, and television). There was parking in the back.
There is a nice bakery next door and a coffee shop about 400 feet away. I noticed a BBQ joint (didn't try it). The access from the highway wasn't bad. You are about 1.5 miles from the ballpark.
The communication from the management worked well. I would recommend.
Quite the charming and cozy little loft in Newport. Plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable, and just a short drive from the river and Cincinnati.
Newport is fascinating. A very old town, funky yet gentrifying with some old school diners I would love to have by my home in Chicago. And a lovely half-hour walk across the river from downtown Cincinnati.
The space was meticulously clean and very pleasant. A couple of little issues: The door to the outside of the building couldn't be locked or unlocked electronically from the outside, and the kitchen is pretty cramped and bare bones. You're not going to cook anything elaborate there. The hot water went off late one night, but response was impressive. It was back on the next morning.
