Front office staff and hotel staff were amazing. They even helped get us into our room early and upgraded up from a King to a King deluxe. Left the car with valet and this is when the issue arrived. It was single digit weather in Cleveland with wind gusts of 30-40mph. I texted them and was told me vehicle would be ready in 10minutes. We got down there and no one had bothered to let me know they had an issue with my key to unlock the car. I keep a key cover protector on the key so it doesn’t get dirty or worn. I drive a Mercedes and they could not figure out how to unlock it for the life of them until I disassembled the key cover and took the key apart to show them it had a new battery and they just were not listening to me on how to unlock it. Well, we got to stand there in the front door for an additional 25-30 minutes while these two tried to figure it out. The draft from the wind even through the doors made it brutally cold. If I knew I was going to have to freeze anyways I would have spent the $20 on the garage next door and not the almost $60 for the valet. The key battery and car battery were fine, they were just refusing to listen to me about how to follow the simplest of tasks to unlock my car. Easy to say this put us in a terrible mood leaving there that morning. Would stay at this hotel again for sure. But over my dead body will I be leaving my vehicle with the valet again there anytime soon without an older or more experienced group.
